TinaStar, at least Google is being upfront about it. ANY and EVERY email you send is potentially cashed, saved, and archived anywhere along its many-step route from your outbox to the recipient's inbox. It's all plain text and easy to compress and index. The data is out there and easily tracked and analyzed.
If you don't want your words to be saved, studdied, or subpoenaed... Send a frickin' postal letter. Even encryption is no safeguard in the long run. I've already got a gmail account, thanks for asking though, Eggy. _____________________

Good point Tiger, but that doesn't assuage my concerns about the breadth and depth of privacy violations Google may have in the making. If you click through to Tina's link, and then read some of the referenced articles, you may change your stance on Gmail. Besides, Yahoo just upped to 100MB, lol. My two cents. |

You dont get anything for signing people up. It's just that a lot of people are dying to get a Gmail account and since after inviting a couple of friends and my girlfriend, I had no idea who to spend the other invitations on.
