Does Your Computer Get Hot As Hell While Playing SL? |

I play SL on a laptop also, and yeah, it gets hot, but so would any computer. Mine's never experienced any difficulties from getting hot though, probably because unlike most laptops, it's designed with tremendous cooling power in mind, lots of fans and copper heat piping around the video and CPU. Of course, it also weighs 13 lbs, so it sits on my desk, which also helps. Anytime you have a laptop in your lap you're restricting cooling. Someone also mentioned laptop coolers, those are always a huge plus. You can get very thin 2 to 4 fan cooling pads that run off the laptop and blow air directly into the cooling vents on the bottom. They're cheap, and highly recommended!

Placing something simple like a folded newspaper, or a large, hardback book between you and your machine is all that is needed to maintain air flow. But is not necessarilly enough to prevent overheating... Lately, I've been opening the CD-ROM drive to help radiate heat. _____________________
