Mein Goldfisch ist tot!

My goldfish is dead!
He was always quiet but with his swiming made me happy.
After 10 years , watching him, feeding him, changing his dirty water,...
now he is in goldfish heaven.

Ten years? Long time for a goldfish...

I have another one he/she is 12 years old. A very lazy goldfish but still alive. Cant swim well and blind too.

I hate when my pet die.

To be fair, I dont think there are many people that like when their pets die!

Although my degus seem to think they are lemmings... makes me wonder how long they'll survive without doing something supremely stupid and ending their dumb little lives.

I know how you feel, I had one, unbelievably, live to 16 and I was so sad when I lost it

Its longevity may or may not have been related to me adding porridge to its bowl once when I was just a little kiddy

I cried for dayed when my hamster died.. and then my mum made me get rid of my stick insects :/

Now I have a dog and lots of fish.. I guess I really shouldn't shout at the 3 legged lil canine so much

My mum also made me get rid of the colony of woodlice I kept under my bed

I really loved my stick insects, they were fab, boring VERY boring, but they used to freak ppl out, I guess the final straw was my mum coming home to find her kitchen looking like a big forest.. the lil buggers escaped.. *sigh*

I was googling again but this time only to see some goldfish

hehe. Well I've never had a stick insect.. but over the years I've had slow worms, lizards, snakes, rats, gerbils, guineapigs and now degus. And I want a sugarglider now!

I'd get a stick insect if I could dress him up in doggie clothes and take him for walks on a leash. I'd take him to a trendy outdoor cafe, baby talk him like he was a chihuahua and act like this was completely normal behavior.

p.s. can you teach your dog to fetch your sticks?

Stick Insects are SO cool - I love watching them. If you liked them, you should get a hermit crab they are very cool too.

Sorry about your fish Andi - 10 years is an incredable amount of time for a gold fish to live! Amazing - you must have taken very good care of him.

Awwww I just noticed this thread. So sorry to hear about your goldfish Andie. *Big hug* Like Rose said, that's an amazing amount of time to have a goldfish. It definitely had a full luxurious life I can't have fish for the same reason I can't have plants. If it can't bite me on the ankle to remind me to feed it, it's doomed.
