OK, people, I can do this. I'm dressed, I have my wallet, my socks (a) are clean and (b) match...I am about to LEAVE MY KEYBOARD and SEEK RECREATION ELSEWHERE.

This will be the first significant chunk of disposable recreational time I have devoted to something other than SL since the day I joined.

Get out of my way; I have a throwdown Moogle and I'll plant him right in the middle of your sim if you try to block my escape. I have just enough fuel for one shot at escape velocity.

There's a theater a few blocks from here, and I'll just rez up a...no, wait. Plan B: I'll walk. As soon as I figure out where my Animation Override is.

My plan is to go see "Captain Studmuffin Conquers Angelina Jolie's Lips" or whatever that thing is, so that I can sit for two hours and think about Cubey Terra's Ornithopter.

Someone please maintain order until my return.

- yoshi

PS I was going to go see "I, Robot" but it's already been yanked. It must have really sucked. Either that, or it came and went with a normal wide-screen lifespan, and I was just, umm, distracted....

Good for you Yoshi! :)
Just dont try to fly, ok?

Oh, 'I Robot' will be out for rental soon im sure. Its a good film, worth a look... just try not to get anoyed by Will Smith's blatant product placement and you'll enjoy it!

Isn't that the film that was filmed entirely on a blue screen set and everything, apart from objects touched by the actors, is computer generated? Was reading something about the production technique used the other day, sounds really interesting.

Oh, and as Eddie says, I, Robot's a good film as long as you ignore the product placement ( ). Special effects are fantastic in it and the robots are very well done.

Haha, I like in the credits how it says "Inspired by Isaac Asimov". :)

I, Robot was an excellent movie, I think, even with Will Smith's God Syndrome, as it were. The main robotic protagonist was very convincing in his role!

For anyone else looking for a movie to go out and watch, John Water's "A Dirty Shame" is a light-hearted laugh, and will provide endless ideas on new animations and activities when you return to your Mature Sim....

I watched Sky Captain last weekend. I kept waiting for them to stop the film and upload one with better, clearer colours.

And Angie Jolie my love only showed up for like 15 minutes. Ah, but it was the best 15 minutes of the whole movie. I was throughly satiated. :p

I just saw it. I thought that by the end of the movie, they actually had brightened the colors. The look was no longer the same as in the beginning of the movie.

Going from greyish to brighter colors was some kind of metaphor in the movie signifying that good had conquered evil. Whoops, didn't mean to spoil the plot.

Heh. From what I read, Sky Captain was supposed to be in a kind of sepia type color scheme...that way it has more of a Flash Gordon/Buck Rodgers feel to it. I loved the movie....Jude Law! :D

Angelina Jolie's a kinky geek. That's why I like her. (That, and she's cute. But yeah.)

The sexiest woman in creation, no question. Read some of her interviews and it's even more obvious. The woman *loves* sex.

And those lips? unf - none more perfect!

As far as I, Robot: if you go into it expecting to see yet another Will Smith Summer Blockbuster, you won't be disappointed. If you go into it looking for an accurate depiction of Asimov's book, then you will be very sorely disappointed. I watched it with my 11-year-old son, and loved it. We both loved it :)

Yeah, that would be my thoughtline too. I haven't seen the movie but I wonder why they chose to name it I, Robot? Supposedly it was actually called HARDWIRED in early production, as stated on:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0343818/trivia

and I don't know what sort of marketing benefits using that striking Asimovian title would have endowed. Even more confusing is the reprint of the book I, Robot, featuring an adventurous Will Smith on the cover.

Maybe someday they'll do a "faithful" (take that however you will) adaptation of Foundation. Or Robots of Dawn, which is one of my personal faves.

I like Will Smith a lot, I think he has a great attitude and smile and he goes over well with the young and the elderly.

They ARE doing "Foundation" as a movie. I don't know how faithful to the book tho.

Whoa... that's news to me. Single movie, trilogy, or more? I was just talking about this earlier today.
