I will usually point them to one of my casinos.
When they state they have no money to even play a casino game....we port over to one of my properties. I then have them drop the contents of their inventory on the ground to see if they have anything I may like to buy. If they have nothing of interest, or we can't agree on a price, I offer them a job hosting a simple event. They NEVER take the job, ever. I guess it is just easier to beg. |

stop to sell money in boxes! Actually pretty funny coz I have a box with $$$ signs on it that spits dollar particles out to whoever clicks on it... when people ask for money I pull it out. Another fun one is to tell them that they can get $1000 for killing an end of level boss - they are easy to find as they have the last name of LINDEN - theres one for each sim.
When you find them shoot first before they see you and track their weapons of electric death on you! They are tough and well armored so you'll need the toughest weapon you can find! I wonder if anyone ever took this seriously. Siggy. _____________________

This is pretty funny. It's good to know that I'm not alone... I was *Just* talking to a friend about this phenomenon.
Me? I'm still relatively new to Second Life compared to you long-timers, so I've been spared most of this nonsense, until recently that is. Now, about L$2000 later: I've seen none of the money I "loaned", forgotten who half the folks are who borrowed from me, and am basically not going to be anyone's walking mastercard again But I'm not bitter, it's just part of the learning process.What's funny is that there is a basic and broad correlation between my experiences here and in real life, insofar as, much like when I first moved to a city: I was frivilous with my cash, handing it out to the homeless on a daily basis. Then, as city life hardened me, I stopped. Now, I'm certainly not going to compare fluffy ol' barely-existent Linden currency with the real world problems of being impoverished, it's just weird to me how my experience in SL over the past month has been a sort of microcosm of the first year I lived in a city. This is all a long way of saying that from now on it's "to hell with you. Quit with the gambling and the porn." Until you can afford it, at least._____________________

I am sorry to post this thread but I noticed a lot of people are asking for Money in SL!  I would like to help you to build and create or design but please dont ask for Money! SL is a great game to create whatever you want...Money is not everything! Hugs & Peace  three maybe four times a week I get an IM asking for a handout. At first in was kinda entertaining, some of the stories these peole have. One even had cancer and was needing L$ to trade in to pay the hospital bill. Meanwhile had a nide lot of land set for her to buy. I spent four months hiding under a rock in SL using 3 alt accounts to hide money and grouped all the land. One day I said enough is enough. Wow what a nuisence this has become. *crawls back under rock* |
