I got in, talked to Dan for a second, tped to try flight thru zones, and normal TP failure standing in middle of water, logged out, then went to log back in and server down error now.. AHhhh!!! lol

Tried it again. Got "Second Life appears to have crashed on last run" message. Sent the report. Crashed in same spot, loading inventory.

Ya know what? We've been working hard to solidify the main SL login hardware that we neglected to beef up the very front servers of the Preview grid. We announced too loud and everybody tried to log in at once ==> the servers fell down.
One thing that contributed to this problem was that the asset server for the Preview is not up to date with all of the assets it needs for everybody's inventory, so it is configured to ask for the assets from the main SL asset server. When everyone tried to log in at once it started to flood itself with download requests. A few lucky people (probobly the really early birds or those with small inventories) were able to get in. It is still up, and will remain up all night, however logging in may be slow when its loaded. |

I tried it, stuck at inventory... Then I realized my account isn't old enough anyway. So I uninstall it, and logged back into the main world... ACK! all my prefs have been reset! Now, that's annoying.

I got in, flew around a bunch in a prim heavy avatar. Scripts took several seconds to finish crossing over. Tried to teleport, it worked after about two minutes but one of the attachments wouldn't show up. Then it crashed

Got in briefly, but I was lagging pretty hard, so I turned off Local Lighting and tried to log back in. Still sitting at "Connecting to region" ten minutes later.
Guess I should have braved the lag and found Cory when I had the chance!  |

My evaluation of the find cory game.. lag interfered so badly I couldn't moved with any consistency.
Totally pointless exercise in futility for me. Hope you got the feedback you needed with all of us in there. BTW, lag sucks. |

Well that was frustrating - it was impossible to test anything, since everything is so unbelievably laggy. Hopefully we will have more of a chance to test it before it gets rolled out.

I crashed in SL after they announced the Find Cory Linden thing.
So I loaded the preview and could not get past the downloading inventory bar. so I uninstalled it, it screwed up my regular SL settings and now logging into SL is causing problems for me. grrrrrrrr! _____________________

Me too  Got past the log in problems but now anytime I click something I get the newbie pop ups. I'm also getting odd hand gesture animations for no reason. |
