You log in and have to go into the debug menu and make changes EVERY FUCKING TIME YOU LOG IN?
What the fuck? Why cant your preferences just be fucking saved like any other video game on the planet?
The best I have ever gotten from any official source is that the debug menu isnt "supported". Im not asking for any long drawn out support on the debug menu issue, Im asking for my preferences to be saved.
Every time I log in its the same old song and dance
Debug>Render>Trees
Debug>Render>Clouds
Debug>Render>Grass
Debug>Render>Features>Fog
Debug>World>Force Sunset (As if FOG or complete darkness are Fucking "Features"!)
And then
View>Camera Controls
And dont start with me about how Im not "fully experiencing all of the wonder and beauty that Second Life has to offer" by turning off all that shit! Im Old and going fucking blind alright? Besides... you look at SL the way you want, dont you?
This is the way *I* Like it.
I tried writing a macro to interface with SL that would do it for me but SL kept crashing everytime I opened the macro program.
Its just getting old that we pretty much ALL use the debug menu and your preferences dont get saved from session to session. And yeah I know I could have posted this in the features suggestions forum, but I couldnt have said FUCK so many times there. And this is one of those shit, piss, fuck things with me.
Is this not getting on anyone ELSES nerves?

I learned the shortcut keys for the things I use a lot.
Force Sunset : Alt-N Toggle fog: Ctrl-Alt-6 Toggle particles: Alt-Shift-= I know Trees toggle is Alt-Shift-3. 'tis not perfect but quicker than menu digging. _____________________

Yep it sucks.
I wouldn't mind having a fat window with all the visual/performance options instead of having them all over the place. Combine the display & options tab from the preferences,add a bunch of those view options from the debug menu, stick a save & apply button at the bottom, and just called it Performance. Yes it would be great if we can macro the interface. Every time I log on, I check my cash, the number of objects left on my land in case some tards left some crap behind, IM's, dwell, and maybe events. I'd love it if all that mess can be streamlined into one click. But all in all, I agree with Chromal. I'm just happy we even have a debug menu. |

Christopher has a point, these things REALLY should be fucking saved in prefs. It would also be REALLY fucking nice if the fucking Alt+1 window would fucking remember which of the three panes I've got turned on, that default Advanced thing being open is seriously dicking with me.
