I am off watching the Denver Bronco Game and I decide to check my emails... which I do as much as possible, I often get alot of off line questions that I try and answer when I am not in world... Anyways one of the emails is...

I am seriously getting sick of this... I have never met this person or spoke to them in my entire SL...

I have given 17 neg ratings for my nearly year in SL and they were given to griefers that use to come to Leda and grief our events...mind you they gave them right back to me..

I know alot of people think ratings don't mean much, and they really don't... but I guess it just bothers me that I am given them from someone I never even met before... ever!
The last time I got one of these was from one Ryen Jade's alt...

Why is it odd? If no one else can see when people rate you it obviously goes in as an IM, just like you make objects/script IM you.

I received my most recent neg rating in e-mail also. When Imagoel neg rated me back 3x's for my 1 neg rate to her. Maybe its a new feature cause I don't remember getting a e-mail for the other 2 negs i have.

Dont feel to bad I got this one today myself. I have no idea who this is or what I did to offend then. I have not been on most of the day, even then I have been sitting in Erotica with noone around. At least when I am named in the forums I know why. Personaly I think this is kinda spineless. But, then again what good are the ratings. How many people sit towards the top of the building ratings and never have created a prim. Dont let it bug ya and if it does just pull up my profile and check mine maybe it will give you a good laugh.

Many system messages l end up in your email if you have Ims to Email turned on and you are not online - ratings, returned items, voting for groups, etc.

I got triple neg rated from someone with the message "nice to meet you" while I was waiting at the start of the game for a friend/first day player to arrive. I hadnt said or done anything unkind. I even reviewed the entire chat history to double and triple check! I IMd this person to find out what his problem was - he never responded. But, in so doing discovered a few things:
EDDIE VOGEL has thus far neg rated 75 TIMES!!! Come on - this is an obvious griefer.
He has the balls to complain about someone grief rating him?! Oh gimme a break.
Needless to say my new player friend was less than impressed. WAY TO GO EDDIE VOGEL! Stand there where the newbs enter and make their lives miserable, chase them away from a really great game.
ACTUALLY, take your negative rating hate filled arse to another game where you can better work out your issues.

As for the others listed here - i have met all of you at one point or another and found you to be fun, kind people. Please dont let these neg rating fools get you down. Rise above them.

If the person said nice to meet you, and then negged you, he prolly just used the wrong rating. Folks do that all the time.

Amunet Zander neg rated me last night for nothing I did to her. She felt she was protecting Blue Burke which i have never rated him on anything and never will, as i follow the rules if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. This has been my only neg rate i have ever received and if it made her wet then i am certainly happy for her. She should really stick to her own battles and let Blue handle his own as well.

if someone negs you because they were asked to by another, then it is against the TOS. Of course, proving it can be a problem.

I've almost neg rated by accident a ton of times. I bet it happens pretty frequently. They may have meant to pos rate your build or something and accidentaly gave you a neg instead.

Yes, I actually did it once and didn't realize it. It's a good thing that whomever I did it to asked me immediately what I meant by the negative rate instead of just negging me back. Needless to say, I immediately took off the neg rate and gave him a positive one instead

I was neg rated because someone negged me as the creator instead of the owner as they meant to... It never hurts to drop the negger an IM asking why.

I myself was negative rated today for an uncalled reason. I wasn't even on. What is funny about my negative rating was that I was rated negative in all three categories last month by a gal because she didn't know how to use a texture, so instead of asking me for help, which I always do my very best to help, she gave me negative ratings. I got up with the gal and she apologized and changed the ratings which was cool. However, I noticed today that the person that negative rated me, is involved in a 3 person group with the same gal that neg rated me the first time. What is even more odd is the fact that this person today bought the exact samething from my shop that the other gal did and her picks are the same as the other one. It is quite obvious to me that it is the same person just a different account. However, I contacted the gal and asked her why and it was over a texture, lol, and I offered her help but she kept saying rude things. I never once got rude with her, just told her that I was more then happy to help her if she needed it and she didn't have to change the ratings, I just truly wanted to help. I have come to realize that no matter how nice you try to be that people will always abuse the ratings. There isn't much you can do people sometimes just want to do things to people for no reason at all other then to try and get you upset. I have many friends in here and love everyone but I do think that something needs to be done about people just rating you for no reason at all. It is sad that people have to pay for someone elses lack of consideration. Mind you some ratings are deserved but only in extreme circumstances. Makes no point to go around creating accounts to get at someone when you don't even know the person but either way, today at first, I was upset because I do my very best to help everyone with everything not just the shop stuff and stay at my church alot of t me doing just that, so I guess in the end, it is beyond my control and maybe changes will be made in the future that can stop the silly ratings.
