No one denies that Bedazzle was recommended to the client. They needed a professional, proven team who could build this project. Bedazzle had proven themselves repeatedly on large scale projects, and that they could work as a team. They were more than deserving of the opportunity - what other perks had they gotten from LL? They worked their asses off to be established in the first place. What have you done?

Wait, now Chip is suppose to not be playing favorites? If he wants only his friends to have vendors, what's the problem?

I am not well known as well..anything. But I only let my friends build on my land and sell on my land. Yep, I play favorites too!

The problem here is you are bashing LL now because of the vendors on Stagecoach Island, which LL had nothing to do with picking. Also, have you not read the posts from Catherine Linden asking for suggestions? Have you sent anything to her? Or are you just here complaining?

If you want to be noticed, you have to work at it. No one is going to do it for you. I worked my ass off to establish myself. No one did it for me. It takes talent, perseverence, and self-promotion. People want the perks without the effort. Cory Edo and Eboni did an amazing job on Gold Coast, it is one of the nicest sims I have seen. However, they both recognize the need to promote themselves and get their work out there and noticed. They aren't bashing others who have been successful and enjoyed the rewards of that.

How do you know I haven't been asked for an article in a national magazine or newpaper? I wouldn't participate in anything like that because I would not want my real identity to be revealed. Hamlet wrote a "Profile" on me long ago, when I didn't own much of anything in SL and I don't think I was singled out for any special reason.


I think there are some people who keep a certain profile that are could be used in addition to the limited rolodex of people that are currently chosen. I also think many people complain but their work is not up to par with the work others. I think the PR department at LL is a little lazy and I also think a lot of residents in SL do not properly market their businesses and skill to catch the eye of LL and outside interests.

This again? Come on folks, don't be so myopic. Linden Labs has been BEGGING for people to submit themselves for coverage. Hell, they asked me to rewrite one of my forum posts for their PR forum because they felt it covered all the bases. They have repeatedly asked people to contact them.

If you still think they're just playing favorites you aren't paying attention.

Hit the link in my sig, hit the PR forum, hell, check out the website where they're asking folks to step up. Or read any one of Catherine Linden's many posts on the topic, asking and asking and asking for people to volunteer for media interview.

Or not... just post another uninformed, sour grape, 'I want it all but I don't want to have to do diddly for it' forum post.

Of course I'm biased. So is everyone else on planet Earth. There are a ton of people worthy of celebration in SL. There's no doubt about it. LL has provided a handy dandy way for you to let them know about people you feel deserve the limelight. Have you used it? Just a little suggestion, since promoting those you think worthy is likely a better strategy for getting people noticed than complaining about those you think get overly noticed. Be proactive. No one ever gains respect simply by demanding it. Let LL know who and what they should be telling the world about rather than lamenting those who've ended up in the spotlight (none of whom went looking for it).

My mind rarely gets out of the gutter. But ok, I'll bite. Sure I can say something else. How about I'm sick and tired of people bashing on some of the most incredible creators in the SL world. Without their content and hard work, we would not be here today. And everyone that has come into SL has the same opportunities. It is just a matter of wanting to do the work that is involved in that kind of recognition. Some people make some incredible things, even on par with some of the better known in SL. But just because someone makes incredible stuff, doesn't mean they want the "job" that comes with the kind of recognition that a group like Bedazzle gets.

Bitterness and petty jealousy is all I see when I see posts like yours. And it makes me ill to think for a moment that anyone could take you seriously. I truely hope no one ever does.
