I'm just wondering if LL are likely to do a Linux port at some point in the near future.

If someone hasn't already asked it. I believe they are currently working on a Linux port, its not open for public beta testing or anything yet though. I'm not sure of the progress. Some people have been able to successfully make SL work on Linux using Windows enviornment emulators etc. if you're looking to run SL on Linux right now. I've no idea how to do this though. _____________________

I moved across to linux a few weeks ago and have been successfully running SL using Cedega, there is a whole thread on the issue here .
