From: Nefertiti Anubis Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And if I could have four paws with razor sharp claws, a huge tail, canines the size of daggers, and the ability to sneak and pounce on certain unsuspecting persons (lovingly of course), I'd never play SL again. Um I don't suggest you try the pouncing thing...the security gaurd lady at the mall didn't like it much when I pounced her. ;P As for the playing female roles...it's easy....so long as you don't let yourself get distracted that you have things normally you would not as a man. Heck I loved doing it in other games. On a creativity stand point for like "outfits" and such alot more options for females so alot more chance at expressing yourself.

My SL self is pretty much like my RL self (except that in SL I'm blonde and sexy as hell) - I don't seem to fit in anywhere so unless I'm following Jellybean I'm usually wandering around on my own.

I'm the same person in SL that I am in RL. Except for the clothing design. And the flying. And the bad dancing...
Okay, my personality is, unfortunately, the same.

Well.. For one thing, I'm taller in RL(Though only by about a foot.. Not saying much with a midget av).
I also get out of the "house" more in SL than I do in RL by a huuuuge margin.
I walk a helluva lot more in SL(No sore feet/legs, no damnable humidity, etc..)
I've also found myself much more tolerant of random people coming up and talking to me in SL than I am in RL.

Like it says in my profile - my appearance may change, but it's still the real me underneath. Acting like somebody else is just too much work. I do find I'm more social here than in RL, though.

I started SL wanting to be completely different. I made my AV 7 ft tall, maxed out on stregnth etc. Sort of like a super hero maybe. I think women should have more female larger than life super hero's and have long thought about doing a comic book with one.
I am a little different in RL than in SL. I started writing in SL and I don't do that very much in RL. Also I feel more freedom in SL to share my humor, ideas and thoughts than I do in RL so I am a little more social in SL than in RL.
The funny thing is, my SL personality is closer to the real me than my RL personality. (If that makes any sense at all). It's what I'm always thinking in RL but never actually say. The things I create are often how I see (or wish to see) things in RL defined in ways that I could never communicate with words.

All of my incarnations in SL are bound to the following: "If I could, I would." That being said, I do a fair amount of roleplay but you won't find me doing things that are in conflict with my personality, i.e. being greefer kin. So if I could be a giant Obunny-wan Kenobi or a probing melonBot, sure... why not?

That describes how am I too alot.. I've but up alota barriers around myself in RL, and for the longest time SL stripped those away, giving the purest essense of me you might say. Its really been quite a freeing experience

I definitely flirt more, but mostly I'm still just me. Me extended, cause I flirt more. In some ways I can't be a full member of SL with relationships and stuff cause I've tried it, but honestly my fiancee doesn't play, and I can't love anyone but her, it just doesn't work. So I script

From: Jonquille Noir And the bad dancing...
Dirty fibber! You're bad dancing is real too! As for me - I'm the same personality wise... why? Mainly due to apathy. Besides, I kinda like the way I am anyways -- it aint broke -- don't fix it. Siggy.

Wow..well said and so true of me also. I feel less inhibited to a degree in SL, and am more willing to opening express my more bizarre ideas and humor. Although I do it with people in RL too, but they usually just give me worried looks and shake their heads.

From: Aimee Weber If anything, SL users all strive for an appearance that expresses how they feel inside. From "hot chick" to "furry animal" to "uber goth badass" to "butterfly ho bag"
As Anton LaVey would say (if he were living and playing SL), "it's the daemonic self we are projecting." In Second Life I am much nicer, patient, clear-headed, and much more talkative. Oh, and at about 3 ft, I'm roughly half my RL height. In Real Life I'm generally quiet, stand-offish, easily annoyed by people, laugh at things that no one else thinks is funny. Things that are the same in RL and SL: I have a cartoon's wardrobe. Ever see Ernest P. Warrell's closet? All clothes are identical, or close to identical, and I methodically cut the brand names off everything or black them out. Things that are the same in RL and SL but come off totally differently depending on which world you are in: If someone throws a very tiny object at you playfully and your immediate reaction is to throw a cake at them.

in RL I am a bit more shy, in SL I guess hiding behind the avatar lets me be more me hehe. in SL I can dress how I would in RL, if my job/wallet wouldnt matter. I think I am also more adventurous in clothing in SL (which seems to have spilled over a little in RL hehe). I still find myself gravitating to the same things in SL as I do in RL, although I seem to have much less fear of reprisal (social or physical) for my choices. Oh and I giggle much much more in SL hehe
