But, you have to take your staff out for drinks tonight... I'm sure with the firestorm brewing today, they'll need it!

I'll kick down for getting Lindens drunk, sure! But only if they promise to play with the asset server after finishing a bottle of Jaeger.

Where's the donations basket? I'll put in for a round of Jäger-Bombs followed by a dessert round of Chocolate Cakes for the Lindens tonight.
edit: put little dots over the 'a' in Jäger. |

I'll throw in L100 as long as there are marqueritas involved ... Cuervo Gold of course ... and salt ... lots of salt around the rims ...
Hell ... I'll have one for all the Lindens right now. I need it after perusing these forums on and off all day! (L100 still offered ... where do I send it? Quick, before I make another marguerita!!) dis _____________________

Ketel One for Jeska!~
I'm a vodka man myself...I was serious...Lindens need to unwind more then anyone on these forums undoubtedly. Nothing like coming up with very difficult decisions that affect masses of people and your business model, being attacked and construed negatively for your decisions, and then go home realizing you have been pouring your hearts into something for those same people who chastize you. A round of drinks is the least I could do. |

As far as pouring there hearts out .... ok where's that coming into play. They want less money incoming to force prices down .... easiest and fastest way to fix that. negate new money.what they don't realize is my last longterm game I spent and or paid in mnthly fees expantion and guides well over 1-2,000$ at the time. Now if 10-20,000 players doesn't add up to a whole lot of dollars I don't know what does .... the LL showed us today where there heart is ...... open your wallet> insert Phillip linden photo.what I'm saying is they'll take acceptable losses for there cause but don't fool yourself thinking there all heart. |

What a crock this is .... you think for one second that they care about what you or I feel .... Yes, yes I do. Honestly. They have proven it time and time again. Do a search in all of the forums for "Linden". See how often they interact with us. Go to any other "game" forum and do the same for their creators. Test the difference. ![]() _____________________

was this the reason you made such a god awful decision ? Hey now! Vodka's *my* drink of choice, too! Never had a hangover! Of course, I'm allergic to beer (no joke; Hops make me sick) - so it narrows my choices a bit. But hey, I'll accept a medical excuse to go straight for the hard stuff! ![]() I'm buyin' LL a round the next time I'm in San Fran. Take care, --Noel "HB" Wade (Tread Whiplash) |

What a crock this is .... you think for one second that they care about what you or I feel .... get a 3rd life. Oh really Raverchick? Are you privy to some sort of insider info the rest of us are not? Do tell. The Lindens have shown again and again that they support us. Like any good parent, they must make decisions for thier kids that the kids will be up in arms over, but they'll get used to it - AND.. here's the kicker - it works out! Go figure. So, unless you've met the team face-to-face and know FOR A FACT they could care less, my suggestion is to can it. |

I'm buyin' LL a round the next time I'm in San Fran. They love visitors.. just be sure to let them know ahead of time. Oh.. and one tip: when visiting San Francisco (aka The City), don't call it San Fran or Frisco. They have roving gangs of drag queens that deal with infractions like that. ![]() |

My mom's hometown is just outside San Fran - so I know the area and I'm safe (I think).
![]() However, "Frisco" is definitely the mark of a tourist. *chuckle* The drag-queen gangs still don't compare to a BART ride near Raider Stadium on game-day, though! I'd say my motives are pure - but to be honest, buying them a round is simply a ploy in order to get an interview, or a lot of L$. *grin* Take care, --Noel "HB" Wade (Tread Whiplash) |

A second round of drinks in honor of any Lindens who have to talk to irate residents on the phone. Judging from some of the dramatic, hysterical posts I've seen (whether or not the complaint was legit) that must be a daily earfull.

*offered up life savings to Lindens*
I've been grinning from ear to ear since I heard about the latest update. Chaos is fun! Go buy your beer, or crack, or snowcrash.. whatever Lindens use for recreation. _____________________

I don't know for a fact, but Philip seems like the type of CEO that would draw very little compensation from this project initially, because he wishes to see it succeed. He is visionary and intelligent. As are most of the Linden staff I'd anticipate. You have little or no clue what it takes to keep a platform and application the scale of SL running. If your opinions of SL are as you state, why in the hell are you here? |
