You know.. this is literally one of the silliest threads I ever read...
The thread title is a perfect example of adolescent's dream - aka an expression of an Oedipus/Electra complex. Residents are subordinate to Lindens in terms of power - thus, are in a relatively childlike position. Lindens can punish and reward. They and only they are "mature" enough to control/allow reproduction. Those who have been around a while, (and the length of time may vary), seem to establish some sort of relationship with "the" Lindens in general, and often with one or more in particular - but the relationship can never be one of equality. As such, it seems to be a relatively "sexual" fantasy to imagine that one in power might deign to reach down and act "merely human" and have a crush on a resident. Imagine it. Being "special" enough to be able to claim status above other mere residents due to the special relationship with Mom/Dad/a God/Goddess. The Greeks did similar things with their pantheon of Gods and Goddesses... who occasionally even copulated with (not just teased around with) the Greeks themselves. Freud would probably make lots of hay that a hero wanted to imagine that someone who is in a superior position in our little microsociety would look with sexual pleasure at a mere resident... especially one that so often envisions him/herself dressed in virginal white. Then again, as Freud also said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. |

But Lindens have alts! So they often go around as "mere mortals" and are just as mortal and normal as us all. I'm sure once or twice a Sim outage has happened because someone accidently spilt Mountain Dew on something.
