I just chat and don't give it much thought -- if they act cool.. all is good.. if they act like a dick - I don't bother chatting with them again.
Alts and all that rubbish I don't really give a damn about - who really cares? Thats time and energy wasted - if someone has their own agenda with alts.. big deal.. if it makes them feel better for it good for them.
On the flipside I don't spend any time or energy worrying about what folks think of me either.. if they like me -- good for them, if they don't -- good for them.. either way it's not gonna change how I act/think/play.

I just talk to myself. I'm the only person I can be 100% sure is really who I think I am. The only problem is that I never listen, and often tell myself things I already know.
I don't really care who is behind the AV. If they want to claim to be an independantly wealthy super-model rocket surgeon (like the rest of us) so be it. I'm not looking for any real life hookups or emotional investments, and I'm not loaning anyone money, so what difference does it make? Chances are I'm taking most of what they say with a large grain of salt, anyway. I don't need to throw a wet blanket over the 'fantasy' of SL by dragging truth into it.
So I suppose I'm addressing the entity they portray here. A mixture of Avatar and the way they carry/present themselves, with room for perception shifts as more info (real or made-up) becomes available.
