Congratulations, Tiger!!

Seeing the pic of that gorgeous baby girl reminds me of the day, almost five years ago, when my husband and I were preparing to take our first child home from the hospital. I remember gazing down at this tiny human being, with awe and terror in my heart, and thinking, "Holy cow, they trust us enough to let us leave with him? We have no clue what we're doing!"

Welcome to parenthood. :)

Where NO ONE mentions the readily apparent lack of ears, tail or stripes!
Has this country become SO politically correct that we cannot point out an obvious case of baby swapping in the hospital nursery?!?!?!?!?!?

Meanwhile, out there somewhere, with a bipedal humanoid family is a tiger cub that will suffer scorn and ridicule for being "different"!

BRING BACK THE CUB OR THE PUPPY GETS IT!
I'm on it Tiger! I'll get back your REAL child unit!
In the meantime, you and the tigress can practice on this one!
Maybe teach it some actual survival skills or something until the real cub is located?
However.... it IS a cute one... tail or not, huh?

But for the love of God and all that is Holy, DONT GET THAT FREAKING "NEW BABY SMELL" Around my wife!

Sooooo busy! :)

Sorry that first post was so short... The laptop's battery was near its end, as was mine. :)

Her name is Cassandra Elora Innanen. She was born last Saturday, the 6th of March at 1:04 am (one month early to the day) with a birth weight of 4 lbs 14.4 oz and a length of 19 inches. From the start, she was in the best of health, having only a little trouble regulating her own body temperature the first two days or so, and the faintest touch of jaundice (almost not noticeable, bilirubin score of 8).

Mom is recovering from the c-section (preeclampsia was the reason for such an early induction, and a reaction to the epidural in the form of a blood pressure reading of 40/30 was the reason for the cesarian) and Cassie (Cassy?) is a happy and healthy baby. A tiny angel. A Space Princess. Future President of the World! :D
