Last night it was bought to my attention, by a friend who hosts tringo, that there is an individual scamming tringo events. From what I was told, this individual rezzes a transparent box the same size as the tringo pot board. Unsuspecting patrons think they are contributing to the pot, however the money is going into the transparent object. The individual then scoots off with the money. From what I understand, this happened twice before they caught on something was amiss. The individual was banned, and reported to the Lindens, havn't heard the outcome as of yet. If they have hit tringo, I imagine it might have happened at other games using a pot board.

LOL. Inventive, but still stupid. Hope whatever Linden gets the report is one of the more strict Lindens, or else they will get a slap on the wrist.

Actually, the lindens fixed this before, they made it so you couldnt directly r-click transparent objects, obviously someone's found a weakness in it. -Adam |

Oh yeah, I remember when they did that. Lance is probably right -- maybe a one-pixel graphic, the rest all alpha set to 95% transparent... the one pixel pushed underground. |

Heh, now that makes me wonder: who are the "more strict Lindens"?  Shame on the potgrubbers! They'd be far better served by taking the time to practice actually excelling at Tringo (and other games) and winning the praise of their peers.  |

This trick is something to ALWAYS be on the lookout for. Whenever I go to deposit L$ in a GOM ATM, I always hover the mouse over the ATM for a moment, verify that the name & owner are correct, then without moving the mouse I right-click and pay.
This same technique can be used anywhere to make sure you are paying who you THINK you are paying.

What about the guy who tosses out the big following penis. And the scripts in it locks up the sim, stops the game, and causes everyone to relog. 30 minutes later we come back and the poor lil Tringo game is fubar. ): Happened last night. He was reported, but dag nab it. . . . I was almost going to win that time!!!!!

Clever trick. I was thinking of just rezzing prims on top of tringo cards themselves using the Owner: bug to hide it and just lock the other players from using the cards.
