Paris Parks just posted a cheery message over at SLUniverse, and a heart wrenching tale of how the Lindens have made her life miserable for the last month (aww) and how she has no choice but to sue, and that she will 'come through justified'.

Got a response to that? Why not amble on over and respond? I'm sure she'll be pleased to hear from you.

Ok here is a curioust TOS question.

It is against the TOS to post links to threads in other forums that contain information that violate the TOS.
But what if said thread in another no LL owned forum didnt vioalate the TOS before the link was posted in this forum here?

Will they edit out the link because of the new violation there?

I know i posted an outright anger ball attack in the forum and that person deserved it.

Sorry if this thread gets cancelled over my post in SLUniverse.

Just out of curiosity, how does someone terraform land they don't own? Its scary to think this is even possible.

Island owners often kept the "edit land" option checked because we have so many people who help us or do things on our island sims that require they be able to terraform or place plants/trees.

Until Paris Parks flew along - random acts of evil tarraforming were non-existent.

on the options tab in the about land window, there is an edit checkbox.

if unchecked, only the land owner and, if the land is group owned, group officers are able to edit the land.

if checked, anybody can edit the land. "developers" are sometimes in a quandry because they have people building and landscaping for them that are not group officers. so they leave the land editable for them. well, they don't anymore.

come to think of it, i believe islands can utilize group features now although the land is still actually owned and paid for by the estate governor. i wonder why they don't just make contractors group officers while they build. it's not like they can sell the land out from under the project like they could on the mainland.

Thank you for the explanation. I was worried there for a sec...I hope some good will come of this and all land/island owners take note. I'm sure there are other people like Paris around that are bored and ready to cause greif. I for one had a different bad experience with her...so I am glad she is gone!

It is the first post ever by someone named Paris Parks?

I smell a rat.

Someone wanted to bring up an old issue for a little glory and created that account.

Drahma indeed.

Maybe tomorrow Osama Bin Laden or a resurrected Adolf Hitler will post over there and you can all feel superior blasting them as well. :)

Bri,

She is no longer a user of Linden Labs systems or a resident of this world. Therefore it is not a ToS violation. Therefore they have no reason to delete the link. That's not to say they won't though. They seem to do as they damned well please with zero regard for consistency.

feel superior??? Yeah like someone who was assaulted feels superior when the perp is brought in. I don't think so. Relieved and maybe a little bit angry is more like it.

We aren't talking about bringing in a perp. Clearly if she isn't in game then justice has been served.

This is like having someone come to your house and dress up like the perp so that you can sit on your sofa and toss insults at them all evening. lol

No, this is like the perp - or someone saying they are the perp - coming round your house after the event and trying to shoot the breeze with you, and whining what a hard time they'd had since they fucked you over.

Interesting take on this Neehai. I wonder why someone would do this? It seems to me that you are the kind of person who always stands back to see what happens lest you be made a fool. Life must be only occasionally interesting for you because most often, real things are happening... not 'punked' situations.

I just doubt the validity of that post and find it amusing that people are venting at their "perp".

Like I said, I can't wait until OBL or maybe that devil Atilla the Hun posts over there. They should be worth at least 5 pages of group therapy.

Because I think that sometimes people lie on the Internet my life must be only occassionally interesting? What is that? Are you high on crack at this very moment?

Because I think that sometimes people lie on the Internet I am "the kind of person who always stands back to see what happens"?

Excuse me if a thread asking for Drahma might, just might, be "punked" as you say.

I would speculate about the kind of person you are, but I won't because I am a better person than you are. I dress better. I have better taste in clothing and food. I was caller number nine and won the free beach bag in 1994.

Say waht you want. I just thought your blind acceptance of this identity was amusing.
