Talen - I dont think you understand Trifen could care less about the card - what he cares about is the way he was treated. End of story.

From: Devlin Gallant I noticed that no one ELSE seemed to have a complant about Mikey. in fact the *VAST* majority who have had interactions with michael now seem far more ready to believe you are exagerating or otherwise bending the truth than michael was even *ABLE* to do verbatim what you seem to have come to believe that really says something.

I would. But then I have never seen ANY Linden be anything but nice and completely respectful. Even when dealing with upset people. So, I don't have to.

This entire thread reminds me why I despise the poor. They always make everything so difficult. Get some more credit if you need it. What's the big deal? I understand the poor wanting exceptions made to accomodate them, but I don't see the urgency in doing it. After all, Jesus said the poor shall always be with us, so what's the rush? From: someone as a customer I am entitled support and I am entitled to talk to a manager of an employee I do no feel is servicing me Wow, I didn't know I could demand that LL employees service me. Does anyone have a picture of Michael? This might be worth following up on. I'd really like for Philip to service me. Who would I call for that? I'll pay extra and won't ask to split it across credit cards. Didn't someone who visited LL mention that they all work in one big room? So it doesn't seem odd to me at all that Robin would know what was going on. Seriously though, just get a card with a higher limit and use that. You can solve your own problem.

From: Neehai Zapata Seriously though, just get a card with a higher limit and use that. You can solve your own problem. Even better than that, you can prepay. Send them a check for the purchase before you make it. It is almost like getting a higher credit limit but without the hassle of having to talk to someone to increase it and then again to lower it. Plus you don't end up paying interest.

As the world gets bigger, we see more new people who have a slightly different from reality of what Linden Lab is.
I'm curious as to how many employees the original poster would guess LL has?
I think the original post comes from the perspective of maybe someone who thought they were speaking to a call center? Perhaps it was assumed that there was a hierarchial phone policy in place?
As to the guess about number of employees. . . my guess would be 30, 40 max.
They're an extremely small company, and so many people can step forward and claim and beilieve that they have excellent customer service because a lot of those people have dealt with nearly everyone in the company at one time or another.
What other online game gets a response in the forums from the vice president of the company?
Oh, and as an answer to the initial request. I've called Linden Lab three times. Each with a credit/card, billing issue (for a while, I couldn't get the webpage to accept when I switched over a card). Each time I called, I got Michael (I imagine this is the case for most people) and each time he was pleasant and extremely helpful (which I also think is most people's experience).
The fact is, they don't have MODs (Manager on Duties) to pass calls on to as they are not a call center. When you call, you're already getting someone high up in the company, as now, they are so small that basically, everyone employed is.
This was not a flame. Just an offering of perspectives.
