Woot! Got early voting out of the way, today. Don't think I've ever voted such a mixed ballot. I would have voted earlier, but omg, there were so many state and local seats and measures that it took me a week to research them all. Thank you League of Women Voters!! Your voter's guide was a God-send.

Can I vote both, as in "vote" and "STFU", at least with regards to the more paritsan bashing? Not targeting anyone or any side here, my party and the opposition have a hell of a lot to answer for in this regard. Hey, if I can fly in SL, can't I dream in RL?
Unless you are an electoral voter your vote will never make a difference in a presidential election....sorry but its a sad but true fact. Well.... Yeah the numbers aren't good, but such fatalism can swing some close states. Now if you're a Republican in say Cali or Mass, or a Democrat in some parts of the south, yeah, you're screwed. Then again, some of the local and state stuff are occasionally in play. Kind of wish I still had CA residency, the stem cell and open ballot initiatives intrigue me. |

I vote absentee ballot and have my ballot all ready to drop off today. I wish that immediately after I'd voted, I would suddenly be unable to see any more political ads, banners, yard signs, etc. But, sadly, I'll have to wait until next week for that.
I'll be tuning in to The Daily Show's Tuesday night "Prelude to a Recount" to see whether or not we know immediately who won... or are thrust into recount limbo once again. _____________________

Considering there are already 19000 ( yes thats a real number ) lawyers stationed at voting centers throughout the nation you can pretty much rest assured there is gonna be a lot of recounts going on and a few law suits as well....gotta love politics  |
