I remember staying logged in for hours after the official closing-time, and being terrified of a crash.
I remember when, if you turned left or right, and the UI suddenly disappeared, it meant the client was going to crash, but if you turned back quickly enough and the UI came back, you were probably going to be ok. _____________________

I remember the "newbie corral", and if there was more than 10 people logged on at the same time it was reason to party!

I remember when the outlands were empty and the land was cheap. Back when land had tiered value.
I remember the pre 45 degree limit. Endless plateaus and high spike mountians. _____________________

I remember when the avatar was a flaming eyeball and the only way to edit the terrain was to lob grenades by pressing the right mouse button.
Oh wait... that was pre-alpha. Nevermind. |

Jenny told me all about it the day before she left. I wont get into a lot of detail because I dont know if she would want me to, but she is still with us as a player though I think she doesnt log on incredibly often.
Nothing drastic happened, she's fine, she just decided to focus her time on something else, RL wise. If you want I can pass on a message to her - I have a couple of her email adresses. I'll tell her to come see this thread while I'm at it. |

I remember when their was an alien roaming the skies and abducting random SL'ers. The probings were fun but if you didn't like it all you had to do was smash the Aliens helmet because he can't breath SL air.

I remember when I would get excited if I saw another white blip on my map. I remember when the land was vast empty and devoid of all the cool projects out there.
Oh, the nostalgia of alpha =p _____________________

heh... i remember when you could sit on peoples attachments... and/or attach an object to 2 people. Also when the attachments weren't part of your av (as in, you mouse-over them and it gave you the name of the attachment, and not the avatar's name).
Some creative stuff was made from that! --Water _____________________
