Actually, according the the Associated Style Guide Handbook, elipses (note the correct spelling, pwned!) should be spaced as if they were another word ... like that.

What are on, a freakin typewriter? Do you also put two spaces after periods?

Oh, and one more thing: ELLIPSIS IS SINGULAR! PWNED!!!!

Now I shall return to my High And Mighty Grammarian Tower surrounded by FI-errr Linden trees.

Yeah, nice try. Way to change the subject. Whatever.

It is quite obvious the FIC has embedded secret spy scripts into all the trees to monitor all buisness activies that Occur in Second Life.

Furthermore they sell this information to certain "appropirate" businseses both in Second Life and in First Life.

I have heard through a secret souce (well okay, my friend's friend is a dominatrix to a particularily naughty FIC member but shhh) .. that they furtermore take pictures of all sorts of Mature actiuvities that Second Lifers perform in order to someday use for blackmail purposes.

All attempts to get the Lindins to remove the scripts in the trees proved unsucessful .. again the FIC at work.

So these trees are tools of the intelligenocracy!!! and all should be burned.

By the way if you disagree with the FACTS i have presented here .. know full well i will flame you until you are left sniviling , curled in the fetal position on the floor.

I know for a fact that Linden trees will, in the near future, no longer be available freely, but will be available from Ansheland.com for a small fee. They will also come complete with scripts that will scan nearby land for newly released plots.

Also, it's been brought to my attention that evergreen type trees tend to sway from right to left, while coniferus sway from left to right. This is obviously a racist statement and ment to confer that only certain tree species are following the correct behaviors.

Trees are used by grievers too. Often they overhang the neighbors property, sway into buildings and cause horrible lag. Sim performance drops significantly when trees are used. These grievers should be banned permanently or forced to live with Prokofy, where they will learn proper manners and forum decorum.

Ellipses is the plural form. Maybe you should learn how to spell before you start criticizing people. It is "dammit" or occasionally "Damn it!"

"DAMNIT" is not a word.

No i think the proper form is dammitalltohellinabucket

all one word .. no spaces.

Its prounced in one long word immediated following a long intake of air.

This proper way to swear was invented by the Late Captain Eric Hastings, of the Brittish army during the Boer War and was uttered prior to having 22 spears thrown in his general direction by rampaging Zulu tribesmen.

Its a sorry testiment to the shabbiness of todays formal education sytem that no one remembers this once very famous reference.

Now back to the point of the original poster ..

I think i will never see .. a prim as lovely as a tree.

Everyone who is anyone in SL knows that it is the trees that are the griefers and not the grievers. The grievers have been given a bad rap, often banned and frequently ignored by the Lindens. The first grifer tree script was written by a FIC member with the last name of Midnight. In addition, this FIC member has been creating skins to match the griefer trees so that the REAL griefers can be posers and spy on the grievers.

Thread hijack beginning with paragraph 2
04-22-2005 12:15
I am appalled by the lack of respect for the tree in this forum. The tree is an important symbol of growth in the world and people often plant trees to commemorate events or signify friendship. Trees represent the continuous growth of the world, interconnectedness of the earth and its people, and a hope for fruits of the future. Anyways :) ... now I'm going to hijack this thread.

Not only are trees symbollic of a healthy society, but they have a strong psychological impact on people. The apex of zen art is often regarded to exist at the Ryoanji Temple in Kyoto. Thousands of people flock to this temple every year to gaze at the calming arrangement of stones on gravel. The designer never left any indication as to the meaning of the arrangement, and casting a random assortment of stones on gravel does not produce the same calming effect as the arrangement of stones at Ryoanji Temple. What is the secret? Recently, scientists used computers to analyze vectors within the art piece and discovered something amazing. The vectors BETWEEN the stones produce the negative image of a tree.

So why don't people just go look at a tree? It is my contention that it is the subliminal recognition of the image of a tree that is calming, but the conscious mind must be baffled in order to fully appreciate its beauty. If we were to just go stare at a tree, many of us would start thinking, "Ok... so here's a tree. Why am I looking at this? This is stupid." But if we look at the image of a tree that can only be seen with our subconscious (for example, a negative vector image like in the picture on the URL I included), then our conscious mind becomes confused because it cannot identify the source of its pleasure. Even if we understand that the vectors are there, they are difficult to see and this chasm between the unseen and the subliminal image existing in the same space puts us in a perfect balance between confusion and calmness, chaos and peace.

My suggestion, beginning on this perfect Earth Day: let's start a new movement of art to sweep across Second Life. Make your own zen garden, but don't stick to the basics. This is Second Life! How about anti-vectored trees imaged in the sky by floating crystals, or smoking particles instead of stones! There is a whole world out there to play with!!! I'm sure there are people much more creative than I am. Wow us and help celebrate peace and growth in SL.

Don't just plant a tree in SL- Conjure one up in the soul.

How dare you be so insentive to the trees on Earthday. I really cant believe some people sometimes. Not only is cutting down trees bad, but the pollution cuased by gasolines engines is worse.

Not to mention the lag of a 237 prim chainsaw.

All this stuff really can get you down, people in the forums with their crazy suggestions.
