I voted for the middle option, Flip-flop. Only because there was no -Tim's a muppet- option!

Actually they should pay you because you are well hung. Seeing your giant penis with a dolphin jumping over it inspired me about the limitlessness of Second Life. Without that, I probably would not be paying $8000 a month for land or whatever tier I am in. The hair may be purple, but the penis is golden, my friend. :)

Ok, puts some Monsters in the game with loot and charge me $14.99 a month, then I can sell the Loot at a store to compensate after slaying them.

No but they also should not cripple those just starting out in SL by taking away every means of building that texture download nest egg for their new design concept. It is easy to say that people should not get paid to play SL...but being in SL costs lindens and new players will not stay around for long if their only options are hanging in the welcome area, building something they can't afford to texture in the sandbox or buying lindens on GOM. The casual players will not stick around if they cannot afford to buy a new outfit or a basic vehicle or weapon. Those of you who had a head start and a bit of skill will remain on the top and the newcomers will never get the same chance to reach their full potential.

Where are the entry fees for the new and wonderful events supposed to come from? Who is going to be able to afford that nifty new vendor or vehicle someone else worked days to complete? Where are the lindens sold on GOM/IGE going to come from? It would be different if they just reduced the amount the event hosters recieved or just lowered the stipend or just raised the fee for rating. Doing all three in one fell swoop is completely mad, IMHO.

So no, someone shouldn't be paid just because their temperment is sweet, but LL should take into account that the new user base needs a foundation to start on. The event hoster of today may earn enough lindens to download that amazing new anim sequence they have been holding onto for 2 months.

Bleh this whole situation reeks of a reactionary shortsided mindset.

I'll be sure to include "Tim's a Muppet" next time. Maybe I should just start another thread of the same topic like EVERYONE ELSE is doing today and add it as an option. Then you guys can all post the SAME EXACT thing again! Wouldn't that be productive?

;-)

COST OF SL ACCOUNT WITH L$250:
US$10

COST OF L$2000 ON GOM:
US$8

Second Life:
PRICELESS.

So, $2250 gets you up to TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE UPLOADS, as well as unlimited access to a 3-D metaverse, for US$18. That's a heck of a lot more than I started with, and I had to pay to rez prims when I first started. But you know what? I found a way.

There's far too much "cry me a river" going on today. Granted, the new rules could use some tweaking, but its time for people to pull their weight.

Anyway, that's not what this thread was about. This thread was about FUDGE!

I voted for fudge too. Though I might've hesitated on the fudge had you included either the muppets or the "purple hair-golden penis" thing.

C'mon, I'm getting tired of all of this B.S., aren't you people? I mean, the crazy decisions, the nonsensical posts - I for one am just about through with it! I put up with everything, give my opinion, and it doesn't seem to matter! So I say, answer me this one question, or I'm leaving SecondLife for good: ...When DID Blake hack Flip's account? ;-)

Take care,

Lindens are obviously using a certain political parties theme. make the rich richer and all will be good. the SL rich will buy the cheap land thats going to be available, make more on there L$'s selling at a higher rateRL$'s making it easier for them to buy more land = to more expensive land in the future. give to the rich and It'll be better .... for the rich only :-) The poor get poorer and in the end SL rich will makeout like bandits.

Read your history. :-)

"With 1.2, SecondLife will be doomed and no one will play any more!"

"Land barons are going to be the end of Second Life! No one will buy land!"

The Lindens have earned the benefit of the doubt. And I still haven't seen any hard evidence or points other than personal complaints to support these points you're trying to make. In several other threads, I've laid out salient points on why these loopholes must be closed. I'm not going to rehash them here. :-)
