From my perspective (Canadian) I don't think any of the networks in the US are unbiased. They are either left or right, there's no in between. It's almost not even worth watching the news there because you're being fed such a skewed version of the world's events.

I live in a country whose citizens are extremely suspiscious and jaded about their politicians, all of them. Not just one party. It was shocking for me to see how many Americans are so pro one party or another. Canadians tend to vote for the lesser of 2 or 3 evils when they go to the polls. And card carrying members of one particular party are known to vote for the other guy depending on who the other guy is.

I find the differences interesting.

Korg - Dahr Jamail's reports are very impressive and appear to present a factual persepctive. Many things that he writes about, my brother and other friends in the military returning from Iraq have told me are happening.

From: Dahr Jamail
Getting the facts in Iraq is not rocket science. I am simply doing my job as a journalist to report the Iraqi side of the story, along with the Coalition Press Information Center side. An informed citizenry forms the basis of a democracy. Not only are U.S. citizens being deprived of access to information about the true nature of the critical situation in Iraq, they are being outright lied to by most of the corporate media outlets.

I agree, our media is a disgrace, for the most part, with a few exceptions, they are a bunch of lazy, over confident, sensationalistic ass kissers who don't deserve the job-title of 'Reporter'.

I hereby award every response to the initial post, but one, the Korg Award for Ignorance and Blindness in the Face of Reality.

Even Korg has never managed to meet the eligibility requirements for that prestigous award. While normally award recipients are deemed worthy of congratulations, at this time, all Korg can do is shake his head and wonder about the intellect "the left".

Poor pity me buttons can be picked up on your way out of the reception hall from the usher standing at the door.

Hey Korg, am I the exception? I really wanted to see who made that website, and when I clicked on "why we exist", I really did get a page not found error. That was reality; if somebody wants to infer the humor into it a "does not exist" error on a "why we exist", that's their business.

If I did receive this prestegious award, I'll need to return it. And darn, I'd never won anything before :(

What's this? Suddenly Korg is a champion of independent media? Why do I seem to have memories of him vigoriously defending Fox? Think I need another coffee.

First, I am not FOR an independent media per se.

Second, I never DID NOT support independent media... My posts "defending" FOX were not "defense"" as most people interpreted them. But of course, numerous "liberals"/anti-Bush bashers read my posts as such.

Third, I am and always have been for a press that reports objectively. I have repeatedly disputed that FOX is as biased as some claim... just as I dispute that CNN and the "Big 3" are "not biased" towards a liberal slant of the news. If you think that is an exaggeration, look up my posts.

I cannot help you out of your confused state... sorry. You may have dug that hole years before you ever heard of Korg... Then again, maybe not. :o

Oh there you go with the snide remarks. What a relief, for a few posts there you were being so reasonable that I thought someone must've stolen your password. Glad to see it's really you Korg. :D

You are the one who labelled yourself confused. I merely pointed out I could not help you with that.. it may be a long standing problem. How is that snide?

Sadly, that will never happen. The minute information is filtered through someone, it becomes biased. Same goes for documentaries.
