Well, I'm trying to get a job at Linden Labs.
Also, I want to make use of the A.I. knowledge I've accumulated over my 22 years of edibleness.

My primary goal is to make lots of friends. I have a hard time making friends in my FL because I always feel nervous around strange people. I even feel that way a little bit in SL, but it's not quite as bad. I'd love to be able to meet new people, and eventually get enough skills to be capable of teaching people who are new to SL how to get around, build things, and script.
My secondary goal is to learn everything in and out that is possible in scripting. I want to try to push the limits of capability and efficiency. I want to develop the skill that will hopefully earn recognition for my abilities, while sharing my work with as many people as are willing to listen so that I may enjoy the efforts of others. I feel that the more I give of what I learn, the more I will earn back from the creative minds of other people.
I plan to only make a subsistence living to keep the things I have. I don't plan to try to make a lot of money, as I will try to "open source" as many things as is practical to. I think the more I am able to share, the more I will be rewarded by the eventual creations of other new players.
Of course, at this point, I've got a long way to go. I still don't know how to write scripts, but I'm hoping that my background in software development will make that a trivial task (though it's never safe to assume such things).
I look forward to meeting all of you, and hopefully being able to eventually pay back the enormous amount of kindness that I've recieved henceforth. =)

My goals?

The cop-out answer would be "to have fun." So, I have to look at what I enjoy about SL: building things and figuring out LSL. (Which itself is a complex ever-changing puzzle.) I'm not necessarily in SL to socialize as I have a lot of friends already in meat- and cyberspace. If anything, I get a little irritated when I'm interrupted while working on any SL project. I also occasionally enjoy exploring to oggle the latest creations; I'm inevitably stunned with each foray.
