Should LL take legal action against alts?

These latest forum-flooding attacks got me thinking, if you're spending hundreds of hours a week reading the forums and someone comes to post with an alt, well im sorry but that is a crime.
Shouldnt LL report these idiots to the feds?

The anonymity of alts is abused to the extreme to say the least. Legit use of an alt would in no way be compromised by putting these people in jail because there is no legit use for an alt.

I understand that some people may want to anonymously play an alt legitimately. Hahahahahhahahahaha! Oh sorry. But the mechanics of SL just make abusing this capability far too easy and it is done every single day, for example building anonymously so they can't be interrupted, taking a break from business, or even worse paying for the accounts of family and friends who might be even more inclined to griefing. Even the Lindens seem confused by why this could be considered wrong, but it is!

Put all users of alts in prison, and people will be a hell of a lot less likely to pull this crap and destroy a legit player's game experience.

Here's an idea: Lets empty our prisons of violent, dangerous criminals and replace them with ALT forum posters.

I have my alt to build in peace. My alt does not post. My alt does not talk to people, accept CC's, or do anything except build stuff under his cave I made for him. What has he done wrong besides allow me to build without being interrupted?

Roll Eyes. I assume the intent of this post is to associate/confuse a ludacris application of legal action against malicious SL users with legitimate ones.

I would compare this to:
"If you prosecute people for mail fraud, you may as well prosecute people with multiple EMail addresses too! Where will the madness end?! Punishing ANYBODY for ANY harmful or malicious act is impossible because it will eventually lead to punishing innocent behavior!"

well i was going to leave it off completely but i thought people would miss the joke.

for the record the point of this is to parody some of the posts from what i see as the latest non issue that has inflamed the forums like a hemorrhoid. the forums feed on drama and abhor a vacuum. the whole "omg alts" thing is the latest topic to fill the void and give people something to feel smart about. last week it was SL Exchange. week before it was ratings and bonuses. next week something else will come along and stir everyone up then disapear and never be heard of again. just trying to lighten the mood is all.

that's a pretty good example. basically they already punish people for mail fraud. no need to go punishing the people with the ability to commit mail fraud. so in sl they already punish griefers. no need to punish people who could grief but aren't (yet. muhahahaha!)

cause you get less of an ego stroke posting on page 15 than by splashing your name across the topics page. and a poll makes it feel like Something's Being Done. public opinion carries psychological weight. not much other weight tho.

and if i knew how to edit the poll there'd be pie aplenty. please excuse the oversight.

they're the worst kind! didn't you read Korg's farewell address? the Lindens use their alts to ferret out dissenters and to sway public opinion. and prolly to grief too. they would.......

Put someone in prison because... They signed up a second account to some online service, and posted their opinion to a forum.

nah i can't really blame them. with people that obtuse running around it's impossible to really know when someone's joking. you think "nobody could be that dense. it has to be a joke." oh but people can be that dense. slippery slope my friends.....slippery slope..........
