You know what I don't "Get"...

People who let their children scream at restaurants. Take them OUTSIDE or better yet HOME. I am not talking the occasional outburst here, I am talking about incessant, shrill, eardrum shattering shreiking. Perhaps these parents think everyone else there are not paying customers? Or perhaps that the sun rises and sets on their behalf only.

Folks who feel they are entitled to to anything and everything they see or hear. The saddest parrt of this growing epidemic is thet the parents who created these monsters don't have to deal with these ppl on a daily basis, the rest of us do.. In traffic, at the grocery store, at work, in elevators etc.

Breast implants for non-medical reasons. I got a couple of tooth implants, but I CAN chew food with them... Rght up there with men who get pec or calf implants...Pleeeease!

I don't get why I spend 5 days a week doing something I hate for a company I hate with people I hate so I can afford a house I hate (in a town I hate in a country I hate) that I never spend any time in cuz I'm always at f*cking work.

Oh... sorry about that Nolan, that was me. I was screaming. I specifically asked for my fries to be stacked parallel to each other sorted from largest to smallest...

Here's another thing I don't get, why do people get so offended over the silliest things? When I worked as the guy who stocked icecream at a grocery store, I was chewed out by a lady for 15 minutes about some falvor of ice cream we didn't carry anymore. She took it as a personal attack that I wasn't stocking it. All I could do was apologize until my manager got there and rescued me.

My family can get unruly and I sincerely apologize...

That's okay Crow... I was young and easily scarred by people overzealous icre cream fans. I've gotten over it.

Here's another thing I still don't get from my early college ice cream stocking days. Ice Cream Treats for dogs... ?? Can someone explain that to me. Isn't that bad for dogs?

No idea... certainly chocolate chip would be a bad idea...

I'll up the ante. Ever pick up the phone, and have an automated message apologize to you, and say that it was looking for your answering machine?

Including tacks. True story. Crazy mutt [1] would escape into the house, dive under the bed, and attempt to eat the tacks there (which tended to fall out of our walls and fall underneath the bed).

Usually wound up with me diving under there after her and sticking fingers into her mouth and throat to get the #$*&ing things back before she did herself a mischief.

This happened. Many times.


Hey! That's another thing I don't get -- dogs that eat anything. Including inedible and hazardous objects.

What I don't "get" is people that wear cheap perfume or cologne and smell like they have taken a bath in it. Don't these people know that less is more? People get upset about my cigarette smoke so I try not to smoke around them, but how do you explain to someone that the noxious smell of their perfume/cologne is toxic enough to make the paint peel off the wall.

I also don't get why the little dohickeys on the ends of shoe laces are called aglets. Who came up with that name? And while I am at it who came up with the word dohickey, thingamabober, and whatchamacalit?

Whatchamacallit might have been Mars /Hershey, etc, etc....
