i've been told that our last names are limited to being chosen a number of times then they're retired forever. te person i was talking to didn't know how many times a name could be used and wasn't entirely sure that the scheme was still active.

does anybody know if this is still true and what that magic number is?

Miller and Wu are also examples. The magic number is 150, and last I counted, there are approx 100 names available at anytime.

One idea I had for 1.2 to give a little extra to the current subscribers was to retire ALL the current names.

But thinking about it I wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not.

Still can't decide.

Of the Greenacres in-game, I know of Thai, Gracie, Rhysling and Carnildo who play now. And Lloyd is a new and not very active member of the Greenacre family. And what on earth has become of Kanker? He's been missing from SL for over a month, now...

well there are like 1000 fates and they all seem to be the nicest people i've every met. thanks for the answers

family reunions might not be a bad idea with names still on the board. it'd be something else to help hook the newbies up with older players.

no kathy, they forgot to mention that. i'll bear it in mind when one of you graces me with a presence.
