Castles, castles, where are all the castles?

Having taken the airship tour all over SL that Cubey and Apotheus just finished setting up (and I have to give them both props, it's awesome)....

I thought I'd see if I could "collect" a list of the "castle builds" that currently exist in SL.

If you know of any, please post them here... at least the sim... The world has gotten so large (even since I joined in June) that I haven't been to all of the new sims yet, and I am sure I have missed some of the older castle builds.

It doesn't have to be YOUR castle.. just if you know of a castle, please post it here.

There is a few in DarkWood.

Castle Blackmoor in Stillman. I don't have the coords, but it's in the very northwest corner of the sim. It's still under construction, though.

Are you kidding? Every plot I build on there's a castle, or castle-type object within 192 meters.

There is a haunted castle in Igbo.

Castle Serpentine Can be found in the South East corner of Periwinkle Sim. It is just across from Midnight City. Recently, the entire structure was torn down and a completely new castle built in its place.

There is a small castle/fortress build on an island in the middle of Kelham.

There's the castle at Mushroom Kingdom in Fujin, too...

I also remember a small, weird-looking and twisted one too, but can't remember where now. I'll post it if it comes back to mind.

There's Caleb Richard Keep in Gerstle, complete with smoke-breathing dragon on the watchtower. And over the last week or so there's been a new castle built just behind it.

SimCast is castle friendly, although we have alot more medieval content than just castles. Dark Wood is another place you should consider adding to your travel list

There is a castle in Taber, belonging to WyckedRaven Serpentine.

Mallecho has an ice castle under construction in Larsen.

Everyman's home IS his castle. Therefore, castles exist everywhere

I have a beautiful castle on a hill in Callisto (188,230), right next to the semi-castle build of Tir an Nog. Also, don't miss Obscuro Valkyrie's castle on Transylvania, if you'd like a real treat.

I'll second that. Obscuro has done an incredible job on the castle and the rest of the island.

I've sold a fair quantity of "My Little Castles" in boxes, but the only person I know for sure who has one out right now is JackofEvil Abattoir, somewhere in Raiden. It's up high, you can't miss it

I have a castle-like build that I call home in Mimas, and hope to soon build fallen temple / castle ruins amond the waterfalls in back. Does that count? When I travel around to get inspiration from other's work, I see many castles or castle-like structures that range from the basic pre-build to ornate originals. If you get a chance and permission from the owner, check the interiors. There are usually hidden dungeons and rooms that make them all them more interesting to explore !

There will be a castle in Neualtenburg within 4 to 6 weeks depending on how fast construction progresses. It will be unique in that it will be a combination of Ludwig-II-inspired and postmodern architecture. Discordia, sounds beautiful! If you are still following this thread, would you post the coordinates for your castle/ruins? I'd love to see it. Also Ulrike's Ludwig inspired castle build - challenging and beautiful.

How could I forget this one... if something a little different can fit what you're looking for, there's also the Ice Castle, on the border of Tehama. Oh, and also a charming little black one at the Rivendell project in Dore.

There's an incredible castle under construction in Fujin. I'm looking at it right now, around Fujin 77, 126 -- huge, with all sorts of turrets and spires. It's being built by RacerX Gullwing, the bunnyrabbit who makes all the trippy vehicles (7-seat flying toboggans that trail snow, etc.).

Higbee and I have a castle-ish build in the corner of Amaterasu....it's mostly done except for a few details that I swear I will get around to eventually.

The build is actually a recreation of our honeymoon spot in the US Virgin Islands.
