In conclusion..if that is the fact..then we all owe somebody reimbursement. Payments for royalties are to be made to Adam & Eve, L.L.P. c/o Garden via Eden. Copyright infrigements include: "The big apple." "fig leaf" and the ever popular... "trouser snake" (although this particular copyright came morph'd from "fig leaf bush", "bush burner", "the olde oak" until today's representation.

From: Atmos Kuroda As some of you may know, Marvel has recently sued the mmorpg "City of Heroes", for having the ability to make players look like certain characters such as Wolverine and The Hulk. Basically, they're suing city of heroes because the game gives them the ability through character creation to make one of their characters. But, claiming that means that marvel can sue Kinko's for being able to make photocopies of a marvel comic or something. In the end of the article it states that this will greatly impact online games. How do you think this will impact SL, depending on the verdict? Linden Lab's main function for the game is hosting the servers... They could argue they "had no idea or control or reason to suspect it was happening"  kinkos) but it couldn't take place without them and we're paying for access. It would be interesting. Can't wait to find out what happens |

It should be noted: in SL, you own what you create. In CoH, THEY own what you create. THAT is the primary difference in liability. LL is unlikely to be held responsible for what you create in their game... because YOU own it, not them.
