How the Second Life Forums are a lot like pro wrestling

I have come to the conclusion that the Second Life Forums are a lot like pro wrestling. Consider this:
  1. derivative "soap-opera" storylines
  2. there's savage barbarism involved
  3. they've got a ton of phoney theatrics
  4. people wear masks and put on a show
  5. plenty of trash-talking and boastful claims
  6. the IQs of some of the brawny brutes are in question
  7. there are babyfaces (good guys) and heels (bad guys)
  8. contenders quit, only to make an entertaining comeback
  9. multiple personas -- alts -- come into play when necessary
  10. referees -- the Linden mods -- step in to regulate the matches
  11. there's a crowd of people who don't post but are watching it all
  12. THERE'S A WHOLE LOT OF DAMN SHOUTING GOING ON! STFU AND LISTEN TO ME, BIOTCH!!! AFTER A CHOKE HOLD AND SLAMMING YOU DOWN OVER MY KNEES AND BREAKING YOUR WUSSY BACK, I WILL HAVE THE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT... I... WILL BE CROWNED... KING OF THE RING!!!!!! OH YEAHHH


The aforementioned was an excursion for me into sarcastic humor. If you're offended, it only means the above is true. *winks and smiles softly* ;)
