It's a game people, can you remember that? It's also a game which people fly and create objects out of thin air..

People act as though this is real life..

I remember my very first night I played this game, I was going all over the sim meeting new people, I was completely unaware of the dislike/fued/resentment that was going on because of the WW2 Online people who were playing. I remember going up to group of people to say hello and got bumped kicked and ejected into the air for no reason at all..

When I asked one of you why you were doing this to me, I was told because you people don't like the WW2r's

I thought it was freakin' hilarious. If you're going to put up political statements in SL then you should be prepared to hear from people with a dissenting view. That's called free speech. It's not reason for crying about it on the message boards. If you don't want things like that to happen, don't erect giant pro-bush propoganda posters.

No, I don't have a problem with the anti Bush poster.. He put it up on his property and that was his right..

What I think people have a problem with is that he lives far,far away from where he posted it, and obviously was desperate to provoke a response from people..

I don't belong to a political group like Suede Feaver does.. I believe he is one of the Leftists,Liberals etc.. and there are many diverse political opinions among the WW2r's and we argue among ourselves with much regularity. The point is we all live there, none of us fly miles to your groups property just to post political posters to provoke a response..
(Maybe we should start doing this when we get bored from now on..)

I don't think this is a case of political backlash, I think this is a case of someone going out and looking for a fight and then getting it..

There is another post on this elsewhere, this one was started seperately. My former Supply Tent was located right near where all this is happening. Its been interesting to watch. Suede put up one block then it was covered so then there were more, then they were covered and now they are bigger. No one has to my knowledge ever covered items along the wall since Ive had a shop there. But someone posts another view and its covered and now he's being attacked. Seems sad that we all can't respect that we're not always going to agree. Because you don't agree doesnt mean he's not intitled to his opinions. One side is posted and in the spirit of equal time the other side has a right to be there. Trying to squash someone that you disagree with solves nothing. Lets not forget America (and SL by the way) is about freedom.

This issue was already brought up with the Lindens, and it was agreed that we all wanted all the stuff taken down off that wall..

The issue was that it was our home and others were coming from miles away to pick a petty fight with us..

If you disagree with something fine, why go out of your way to go to someone elses area and deface it...And yes our stuff was vandalized...

If you believe in the wacko left wing and wish to show your support of it, go post your stuff around your lands...

Bacause I can tell you where this is going, we are going to start coming to your lands and putting up stuff to offend you..Now is that what this game is about?...

youre not so smart as you think. never "assume". i own no other land so that is my home. as far as the group i got an invite and accepted. i never met them /yet/ and have no agenda other than to voice an alternate point of view than the one that has dominated the wall. the impression when you go unchalleged is that all of sl feels like that and being based in sf i seriously doubt that is true. but see most people wont lift flyers inworld because they want to play and not be harassed in return, its not worth it to them. but you guys dont bug me. attack me against the rules and expect to be reported. sorry kids those are the rules.

I want to address the issue with both parties, and that is ,"It's just a Computer Game, get over it".

While you are correct in saying this is a Computer Game, you are also overlooking the fact that this game is also a community of people. People who are real, who have real feelings, who have real emotions. Just because I sit and type into a keyboard doesn't mean that I can't hurt someone with my words or actions. One thing that many in MMORPG's have thought was that because it was a computer game, then they were excused from acting with decency and treating others with dignity. This type of thinking needs to stop now. Just because we are all on computers to interact with one another, doesn't give any of us the right to stop treating people with decency and dignity. Remember, your rights END where another person's rights BEGIN.

If you believe the arguement that "it's just a game", then you wouldn't have responded in these forums. It is more then a game, it is a place where people interact and build friendships and even relationships. That means you should act just like you would if you were face to face with someone when you are in the game. Failure to do so shows your immaturity, and quite frankly, should be reasons enough for a Liason to remove you from the community.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in this arguement and saying you are right and you are wrong. I am saying that both sides most likely have valid points, but they can only see their side, and that is the cause of friction. From now on, why not just ignore one another instead of trying to antagonize one another? It would be better for both sides, and certainly better for the community as a whole.

But make no mistake, while we use the computer to communicate with one another, it's more then a game, it's a place where many come to meet up with friends, and many more come to meet new friends.

The WW2r's met with the Lindens in game last week and agreed on this... They said they were going to get the leftists, and the others who put up the anti Bush stuff to remove it, then we agreed to take down all Political posters from the wall.. The lindens then agreed to fix the damage the vandels had done to our wall..

We then agreed not to shoot weapons at people in safe zones, the Lindens said they would take action againt people who shoot weapons from safe zones into Jessie..

We had agreed to ALL of the Lindens terms....Somehow I guess someone forgot to tell the others in the community..

Some people only have a limited time inwhich they can play, because of family and real life interests. But when its spent trying to get you and a select few to stop harassing them it becomes less of a game and becomes a debate.

I dont think the game is pethetic...i think the community is pethetic, ive ran into some cool people that can take a joke but most of the people ive ran into remind me of the hermit type of people that sit at there computer and dont want to be bothered by the outside world.

Lets not forget that i have also been harassed but i havent come on here complaining about how so and so came and deleted part of my house that was part public (unknown to me) and destroyed the land around my house that was also part of the house.
