This isn't really a dumb newb thing, but when Olive was first built, back in my giant slide craze, a few of us slid down the slide in a newbie cabin... that was awesome

Took me a while to figure out how texturing prims worked. I didn't know that you could have multiple textures on 1 prim. -_-;
Fortunately, someone was nice enough to explain it to me before too long, and in a nice way, too, which I really appreciated.

waaay back in my day.....
I didn't know you could texture different sides of a prim so to create a wall that looked different on two sides I created two flat boxes and pressed them together.
I also didn't know how to use the map so I didn't leave my house for months because I was afraid I would never be able to find it again.
Of course this was back when there were no instructions for anything and no Prelude. Yeah we had it hard... why, I had to push the school bus, through the snow, both ways, in bare feet......
