Ok me and my friends regularly discuss MARMITE (don't ask) and some of my foreign friends are like  ... they don't have it (yes they haven't lived)

So I seriously am curious to what you lot think of it, plus I am trying to ignore the fact my first proper SL home is up for sale and I need distracting so I don't buy it back *cries*

BTW if you don't know what it is.... follow this

MARMITE!!!! IS MYMATE!!! WOOOT!!!

I like it... but not thick... it burns the skin off the roof of your mouth and numbs your lips if you have too much. I basically spread it on then scrape it back off again :)

do not put pecan pie on your poll unless you want it to win. like jillian said, pecan pie is ALWAYS a priority.

Ah I now see your point, well Pecan Pie was added, so that ppl didn't have to scream PECAN PIE at me in their posts, you can choose to ignore it and answer my Marmite question, or you can join the others and click Pecan Pie :)

Ok. That kinda makes sense (Willow made sense! *gasp*).

But what about the CHEESE option?! Given that marmite SHOULD be eaten with cheese?! I was seriously torn!

10 Variations on Marmite-Cheese Sarnies!!!

Marmite! Marmite! Yummy, lovely marmite!
I've never tried marmite, but if Willow loves it, I love it too!
Oh, the delicious, brownish goo!

Heh! A noble sentiment, Eggy, but the usual reaction on the first time of trying Marmite is 'OMFG! That's not edible! Are you TRYING to kill me?' followed by a lot of dry retching and spitting of half chewed sarnies.

Or to put it another way, its very much an acquired taste. Most never acquire it :)

Funny Marmite Story....

When I first moved into my first home (a flat in Manchester when I was 18) with my new boyfriend, he asked me for Marmite on toast, I was like WTF is Marmite?!?!?! (mum only fed us egg, bread and sunday dinners), so anyways... I thought okkkkk this should be easy :D

Proudly grabbed myself the smallest jar possible from the downstairs shop, and proceeded to spread the ENTIRE jar over 2 slices of toast, thinking FUCK ME this is gonna cost us a BOMB in Marmite o.O....

He sat, quietly, eating it all, VERY slowly, asking for lots of water... so me thinking he was just being a dick went all stroppy and stropped off, only to come back later for him to explain that usually a whole jar like that would last a few weeks... and he made me taste some...

To this day, I apologise to him (actually he's my ex so I just tell him to STFU).. I like Marmite but MAN, I nearly killed him *cheers quietly*

Also, my lil girl likes to lick Marmite off her toast and ask for more... yes.. shes very VERY weird... o.O

Yeah, I know all about marmite and (whispers)vegemite.
Back when I had really screwed up sleep patterns I talked with a lot of people from australia and NZ. I read a lot about it, and believe it or not I'm really curious :)

I always understood that Marmite was originally the by-product of some industrial process.

But I quite like it now and again. :)

It is... it's used yeast from brewing beer.

Maybe...
I'm told the best way to avoid a hangover is to stay drunk.
