IGE just lost a customer

Ever since I have come back every time I try to sell money on IGE I end up waiting to talk to support. Spending hours waiting for my cash. What the hell happened? IGE used to be great. Fast, easy and slightly more money. But now, they seem like a bunch of bumbling idiots. Screw this. I'll pay the damn 40 cents and use GOM.

GOM is fast and reliable... Hank is nicer than Baby Jesus and good for those with special needs ;0... I've never done any business with Anshe's L$ exchange service, but I am sure Anshe doesnt stand for any muckups ;0

Hank is a friend of mine. He is nicer than baby Jesus. But I don't think he is done with his system. And Anshe buys in 100k increments. As much as I wish I was in a position to sell to her, I don't make money like that.

I agree. My last transaction with IGE (which i chose for speed), required I actually be online, and then talk to live customer service via the web. bleh on all that.

You weren't online. However since I am still waiting for my f-ing money I could have waited for you to come online. Lets all pretend I wasn't selling $L to buy toilet paper and I am not looking at my last roll all pissed because its taking them HOURS to give me my freaking money.

I only use GOM. They are a little slow sometimes, but there's a good reason for it (they are very watchful against fraud) and I understand.

You mean cashing out takes time with them too?

Part of the fraud prevention measures at GOM involve manually processing the outgoing paypal payments. I believe it is Tom that does this every evening after returning from work.

It means that if you want to cash out during the evening while Tom is at home the payment will be almost instant, but if he's already gone to bed then your payment waits untill the next day.

That's exactly right.

In principle, I suppose it would be possible to hook the withdrawal request page directly into PayPal, making your withdrawals as instant as your deposits, and essentially automating the entire process from start to finish. That would, however, give an enterprising scammer potentially unfettered access to our PayPal account. I'm sure all will agree that is the worst idea since New Coke.

Day 2 and those bastards still have my money.

Now they are claiming that I never paid them. I am sitting around with 26 bucks in my account right now! SL keeps very good records of who paid who, just because their database was down doesn't mean they can't look at the Account History in SL. What smucks!

I have sold to her and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. Very fast and efficient. I waited longer for Pay Pal to move the money to my bank (2 days there). Anshe it was almost instant.

It was probably the only time I will have 100k to sell but I gotta admit it was a VERY smooth transaction.

I bought from IGE last night, purely because my new paypal acct isn't sodding verified yet, and GOM won't accept unverified accounts, I got my money within 5 minutes, I wonder why they can't buy em so fast?

Well they claimed their databases was down. Now it is up and I still don't have my money. I have been talking to help like 5 times already.

Nope, it wasn't 2 days ago. It was 24 hours ago. Their servers were down last night and they couldn't pay anyone who sold them Lindens. Maybe buying is on a different server so they were okay in that regard. I don't know. All I know is that there was a 20+ person queue for help so there were quite a few people that got screwed last night. Fortunately I just got my money so now I can run to Target and get that toilet paper and hand soap I really needed. Being poor sucks.

I hope you don't need that hand soap because you didn't have the tolet paper.

Nope, just added to the problem. I had a day of napkins and dishwashing liquid. /cry

I've sold to IGE many times and have always gotten my money in 1 or 2 hours...

I have sold to them a lot too and lately they have been fucking up, more often than not.

I used IGE mostly for the, "We'll have it to you in under 30 minutes" (They even have a checkbox). To my dismay this was a bunch of bullbrown. I waited, for an hour and nothing, so I jumped on their support chat. I was told, it'll be in my hands in thirty minutes or less.... 2 hours go by and nothing. So I finally logged off. The next day I received my money with the time stamp it took IGE about 6 hours to get the money to my character.

If they got the time thing down, then I would have no problem. The issue I have is the FALSE advertising. Don't promise me 30 minutes if you can't deliver. Otherwise I may take my business somewhere else. Its the BEST way to loose clients. Infact its in the top 10 business ethics!!!!!

That said, i still like IGE for the pure fact they allow credit cards, nothing is more annoying than being asked to sign up for paypal (which sucks IMHO).

I've used several of the online linden exchange things, and I always end up going back to the good old GOM. I got tired of constant muck ups from IGE ( let alone their charming representatives from time to time.) Nothing is instant, but the GOM is fast and reliable. I'd rather be checked out and wait a day or so than end up losing out.
