Based on my own observations alone....Trolls seem to prefer the following meal.

Name of dish: Forum Exploitation Stew for Trolls
Add one par ego (theirs) to Internet access (any speed/bandwidth). Stir one to six semi-cooperatively functioning braincells in a open-ended, unmoderated thread. Add a spark of self-importance and two of self-delusion for spice and so the other ingredients don't stick to the fan. Heat the mixture with a flame of arrogance and self-righteous indignation at any and all opposition, contrary opinion and/or non-agreement in subsequent posts. Stir in a sado-masochistic penchant for drahma - to taste, which may vary from thread to thread, day to day. Unfortunately, this concoction cannot be served alone. "Innocent" or willing participants must be involved in order for the troll to truly enjoy this dish.

Any cooperatively functioning braincells the troll might have not actually used in the Exploitation Stew dish appear to be part and parcel of the dessert dish.. quite often Hijack Pudding or Flummox Soup (also know as Pity Me Peasoup).

Then again, as I said.. there is a slight doubt in my mind whether I could be arrogant enough for alpha status... and am considering passing it along to another here in these forums.... Nominees? The only requirement is that you have to have had more posts in the Exploitaion by Clubs of SL Prostitutes thread than I did.

I happen to think that "troll" and "hijack" get bandied about much too freely. More often than not the definition of both words in the context that they're used is "anything I don't want to hear or disagree with." It's sort of a cheap way of denegrating other people's thoughts and ideas and the manner in which they present them. Since both terms are hopelessly subjective I contend that for all intents and purposes, they are meaningless.

OMG.. now I am reduced to meaninglessness... At least being a troll meant I had some status.
