I just started today and was wondering what were some good things to do. Like places to go, and stuff like that.
Hope asking this isn't against the rules. >_>

Ok, thanks, lots of stuff listed.
One more question: Any way to make Linden Bucks other than the money you get per week/when you first log in? >_> |

One more question: Any way to make Linden Bucks other than the money you get per week/when you first log in? >_> You can refer people and have them sign up and mention your SL name. That brings up to L$2,000 a person. I believe there are at least two places that pay you to do tasks (like The Sims Online does). There are also a variety of money trees. If you are game for it, there are several games, like tringo and bingo, as well as gambling and other adult pursuits that might make you some $L. If you ever get into the habit of buying $L at gamingopenmarket.com or IGE.com, please consider the following: Premium Monthly fee: US$10 month to month US$7.50 month (quarterly) US$6 month (yearly) Each month you get L$2,000. This works out to between US$8 to $10, depending on where you buy your $L. This only takes into account the $L advantage, you will also get the ability to own land and buy your first parcel at way below market prices. _____________________

Ok, I will consider that.
Do you know the names of the places that pay you for tasks? And how long does it take for your referrel money to come in? I got my brother an account (Trickster Edo is his name) and he's been playing for 30 - 45 minutes, however, I got no money. He also started with 750 $L, when I started with 250 (IIRC). >_> And someone (forgot his name) is in the area you buy cars and rez them, playing a flute, 'nukeing' people. He nuked me, so I cam back and tried shooting him with my revolver. >_> And earlier someone (I think it was him) used a script that caused my brother to bounce, and, upon landing, he kept on bouncing in the area he was originally bounced. His jetpack dissapeared, and when he finally got on his hoverboard (by getting on on the concrete where he cars are) he was dropped off of it when he hit the dirt. Is this legal? He had to restart to fix it, and it's happened twice to him. |

NEVER NEVER shoot back unless you are in a combat area. What that guy did was wrong , but you can get in more trouble for retaliating. It is better to just teleport away. Teleport home or teleport to Ahern, which is where the welcome area is. If you have the patience to hang around during the abuse, use the abuse report tool under help and report the incident. What was done to you was illegal and the Lindens can deal with it. Seriously, you will get suspended for shooting back, and the idiot who started it will get off. Report the abuse and walk away. There are jerks here and you will have to live with them. There are way more decent folk, though, so don't let the bastards get you down. _____________________

Ok, I'll check there whne I get back on.
And try and convince my brother to go ahead and activate his account. >_> And I wish I had known this beforehand. Hope that doens't turn out to hurt me in the long run...all the revolver bullets do is bounce off of people though (I think). And the first time the script hit my brother I did report it. However, the second time, no 'Report Abuse' button was shown. |

If it doesn't show up within a week, just send an email to LL. _____________________

Good.
And I went ahead and activated his account before he went to bed. Thanks a lot for all the help. ![]() |

I snagged the locations off of forum posts so feel free to holler at me if they are wrong. ![]() You mentioned that you got your brother the account. Did you use the same credit card? There is only one free trial per 90 days per credit card. It could be he started out with more money because he may not be on a free trial but instead has a basic account. Also, if you used the same credit card you won't get a referral bonus. If you didn't use the same credit card then I have no clue. -Sun |

Prim and Gnome factorys. I'll check em both out soon.
And yes, we used the same CC. I loegged onto his account, and it was already set to basic. Guess I won't be getting the 2000 $L. Oh well. |
