Ok, here's a code for ya'll to crack... first one to get it wins 300 dollars!

It's not a substitution matrix (where each symbol represents a letter). It's really more of a pattern. And it has nothing to do with placement on the keyboard.

Ooooh, that makes it tough. Any cipher can be broken, given enough time. A code can be unbreakable.

hmm could you use that code/cipher to do something bigger, 26 bytes is really not enough to really decode something like that with out some form of hint i don't think

Substituition must be applied in some form, the vowel-constanant ratio is way off. There are also symbols not used in regular text, as well as mixed capitalization.

Coming in @ 23 characters, you get an incomplete 6x4/4x6 transposition matrix,

Im ruling out affine and vigenere, he stated its not simply caesar, and im hoping its not a grille

Questions:
1. is the plaintext in english?
2. could we get a longer ciphered text, as this yields no information when applying letter frequencies...

Well, I messed up on this, and in fact the proggie I used to encode it stinks. But, as if by some message of God, JoJo got almost EXACTLY what I was trying to encode.

The message was supposed to be, "The Deists Shall Rise: THE AGE OF REASON"

Jojo, remind me to pay you for sheer psychic ability

no it wasnt just a guess.....I have read a book or two on codes. My father was in World War II and we talk alot about that......one of the most interesting stories he ever told me was about the code that the Japs could not crack....

It seems that they were able to crack every code because the codes were basic matrix....but there was a thought to change the association. It seems that a tribe and I cant remember which he said...maybe Chaktaw has no written alpha. They drafted several of these Native American that had a different langage base and guarded them like they were the President. If one of these individuals were endanger of being captured, the Native American would be killed by our own hand to insure that the enmy would not be able to obtain information on codes......anyhow....
