the stalker im talking about, she came to my land when the "Ban" list had bugs, where it allowed ppl in my ban list to come...

i called lindens they did nothing.. so i had to take my shotgun out hehe u know what happens next

She sounds pretty calm to me.. maybe you need to calm down.. no one said you were being bitchy - aside .. you cant accept or decline note cards.. i know this.. because thats how my business work.. Note cards pop up automatically.. YOU CAN DISCARD them.. and they end up in your trash. but they do POP up on your screen.. as do photographs.

Imagine if you will someone who is obsessed with you and won't leave you alone. Imagine someone who spreads ill rumours about you. Imagine someone who makes veiled and direct threats to you. Imagine your SL social life ruined because you never know if some new person you meet is that someone in disguise. Imagine this happening to you and maybe you'll stop laughing about stalking.

Yeah, thats the one thing about being able to have alts, ppl can abuse that function SO badly, i've found out in the past ppl that have been really REALLY friendly with me are just alts of ppl that wanted to get close to ppl I hung around with, just to find out what was being said etc.

Stalking isn't really funny, SL or RL, cos some ppl don't know when to draw the line, Mike's right, just never give out your personal details no matter HOW close you think you are to someone, cos it can get really really nasty.

Eva.. i do understand what you're saying. And im not making light of the very serious situations. Believe it or not - i do know people that are very paranoid in game because of certain people that wont leave them alone..

But i do refuse to sit back and be too scared to enjoy myself. This isnt just a funny poll about stalking - because stalking is very serious issue - however, this is a pole to serve notice to those who set out and make SL hell for me and my friends.. and anyone else .. a msg to the stalkers if you will - I aint scared - and i will find humor in just about any situation. Thats how i deal with whack jobs in game.

*sigh* Eva... i feel ur pain... 3 times i had to change my AVs name and the 3 times i was found by a "stalker"! .... Its sad how ppl just DONT give up...

back in a simpler time in sl, yes, i miss the old days and i dont care who dont like it that i do, i was stalked now and then, and it was sort of amusing. more of a pesky suitor now and then. well, after a time, this stopped, and no one stalked me for a bit, and i was jokingly complaining that nobody was stalking me any more.

so to take up the slack i hired malachi to stalk me. i must say, he did a good job at times, would show up in a trenchcoat with his hat cocked just so, would lurk nearby, he even had his own bush to lurk in. it was terribly funny and i am sure u had to be there to appreciate it, but, those of u who want a stalker, i can reccommend him.

eventually i had to fire him tho, he started whining about the money i had promised to pay him or something i dunno. i mean like, stalking me wasnt joy enuff, he wanted the money i had told him i would pay him?? gasp.

there thats a stalker story. and i even named names.

I agree with you here Rice, nobody should make your SL that unbearable or unenjoyable that you have to leave, cos that really is just taking things too far, not much Lindens can do about IW stalkers tho, unless they harass you constantly via IM, Chat or Notecards, being in the same area doesn't really apply.

I think we have all had times where we say FUCK IT, and jump on an alt, or consider leaving, but at the end of the day, if these ppl are trying to run you outta SL by bugging you, hit the hell back and stay and piss em off , cos that'll hurt em more in the long run for sure.

Lindens are good for... well, nvm.. I better be good.. they get cranky when they're pretending to fix problems.

panda stalked me until he got close enough to handcuff our wrists together.

OMG!!! sounds like what happened to us... this guy taking advantage of our friendship towards him, he put a snoopy device on our land to find out what we were saying!!!! why didnt i ever realize how sick ppl could be!!!!
