I think that we should put a system in across the United States, where for every 100,000 dollars per year you make, you get an extra vote in all elections.
Now tell me, does this still sound like a good idea?
And how much 'emotional investment' you have is subjective - how much you have contributed is also subjective.
For instance (as a case in point) Anshe may well beleive that she has made a huge contribution to SL, whereas I think the world in general would be much better if her account(s) were nuked.
And I'm sure the reverse is also true.
It's all subjective.
Siggy.

From: someone I think that we should put a system in across the United States, where for every 100,000 dollars per year you make, you get an extra vote in all elections. Hmmm... Isn't it the way it works? I think they call it "political contributions". Usually the one with the most money in his/her campaign chest wins it all. Also, when is the last time we had a poor or middle class president? Like it or not, the almighty dollar is in fact almighty. - T -

I don't beleive that Bill Gates gets to vote more times than you do , no....
I think they call that 'voting'....
So your argument nimbly sidesteps the point.
Siggy.

As to giving people with more financial or emotional investment in the game more voting sway.. Without meaning to insult anyone (so this probably will) I'd hardly consider people that throw heaps of money at an online game and then get emotionally invested into it more likely to make unbiased decisions. Quite the opposite.
