Any updates on this, Julian? I'm curious to know how your study's going so far.

I bent my gender once. During some foreplay in bed, I decided to run and grab us something to drink, and I got my foot caught in a trailing part of a sheet and fell right on it. Hurt like hell and bent it pretty good. But I recovered and haven't bent it overly much since.
Can you tell I'm bored..? _____________________

I created a second account and played a female for a few months. My wife laughed for the first day or so, then I was suddenly and for no good reason embraced by several of SL's "Elite" I had no idea WTF I had done and frankly played the same as I play Mickey.. as myself.
I was showered with gifts and people were confiding RL secrets with me. Frankly, it was a several month long whirlwind. I got to go to lots of swanky places and meet alot of people I would not have met or gotten to know otherwise, some I would have been alot better off not knowing, but others were really great people totally unlike they are made out to be in the forums. Over time I started to see more of the .. darker side of it all. People mocked and snickered at because they had game created clothing, or lack of a custom skin. It was at that point I started to lose interest in playing my alt. I despise peoples arrogance to think they are somehow better because of a paycheck, shirt or car etc.. in RL, I sure as hell wasn't going to be a part of it in a game. The whole ordeal was really bewildering as to how it all happened , my wife and I still wonder how/why and laugh thinking about it. I often get e-mails from people wondering when she'll be back or where I have gone, maybe one day I will log back on and tell my tale to those who were a part of it, but most likely I will not and simply let her RIP. I only play second life a few hours every couple weeks or so now and that is simply to hook up w. friends I have there or annoy my wife with my silly purchases and give her some of my accumulated $L wealth. I never cybered or engaged in sex with my alt, frankly the times I was propositioned it turned my stomach so I mostly played her as being lesbian. I'm 33 years young and live in the midwest, was raised by a hard working family with a good moral compass and values and live off the sweat of my own work, though a fat inheritance wouldn't be shunned a second time. --Gerry Spence These are very sad times to be an American but where is the rage among the citizenry? Where are the flag wavers who so laud the freedoms symbolized by a flag and written by quill pens in our constitution? Why are we not rallying in the streets against this sort of attrocity? Why because we are gluttonous lazy bastards who say it won't happen to me so who cares. --Ishtar Pasteur |
