Hi

I create animations and I need some one to help me test the animations and tune them.

I pay 100L for one hour of work. The job is so simple, you should just sit on the pose ball and let me tune the position and orientation.

however you are not allowed to go afk while working, nor chatting with others. should carefully listen to me and do my orders.

contact me in world if you are interested.
more beautiful look, clothes, hair style and fashion style is proffered.

thanks

0.50 cents (in US currency) PER hour???

Do yourself a favor.

Make an alt. Use it as your model.

Offering someone 100L/hour is an insult. BUT, it is better than camping wages! :p

Oh.

In case your computer cannot run 2 SL viewers go here: http://www.metabolt.net/

That is a text based program for SL. You can create an alt. And then using MetaBolt, sit your alt onto the pose ball you desire to "tune". This way your system will not be lagged down by running multiple clients.

And you save yourself $100L/hour! WooT!

Yes I would agree. 100L/ hour isn't really an insult... but when you add that they can't chat?? umm.. that will make for a very boring hour and not really worth 100L. Make an alt.. truly it will be worth your time in the long run.

This is why they cannot chat.

Well, it's certainly not skilled labor - BUT. How often has it been discussed here in the forums that there aren't truly a lot of unskilled jobs for new SLers to do?

Sure, a skilled content creator/dancer/host or hostess can easily exceed those rates - but I don't think the amount is too low for what's required, and it beats the heck out of camping for L$3/15 minutes or whatever's now the going rate. A bot or alt might be quicker or easier, but I personally like seeing the opportunity put out there for someone who might could use a few L$.

Since the model will probably need to sit/unsit/sit a fair amount, I think the "no AFK" part is reasonable. I do think most people can multi-task between listening for orders and an IM conversation, though, so maybe that part's a little over the top. But that's not for me to decide.

(I have to admit, when I was putting out dance balls and poses around my place a while ago, I almost put out a similar job offer - not because I couldn't do the task with my alts or my partner, or find a friend in-world to pose with me, but partly because it seemed like a good way to give a newbie a job to do. And because the work is pretty boring. As long as they were paying attention, I wouldn't have said no personal IMs, though...)

If you compare it to making $12L in an hour, sure it looks great because it is.

But by itself, it is not great at all. People have a value, labor has a value. 50 cents per hour (100L) is damn near humiliating.

It sounds to me like you agree with this because you yourself in good faith would make a person a job offer like this.

I agree the rate is a bit low. Yes, campers make less, but the person is usually afk. I use my alts for setting positions quite often, but I can say that it is much easier to use another real avi. I would definitely pay more than 100 per hour.

My only requirements would be no chatting to me so I can concentrate on my work and turn off AOs and the typing animation. IM others all you want. Just watch for me to ask you to ball hop. Oh, and I might ask you to wear a particular shape that I provide.

I wonder if there's an appropriate group where we could request someone when we need them?

Why don't you (and some of your fellow animators, maybe) make a group for this? Get a pool of volunteers who want to be "on call".

I know quite a few people who'd sign up on a list like this. I might, myself.

Hi

First of all i should say, Wow  ...i was not really expecting so many replies in such little period of time. Really thanks for attention. :)

Ok, i increase the value to 200L$/hour, :p
now what do you think?

In addition i should note that, i did not mean she is not allowed to chat with others at all, what i want is she should hear to me and do what i want. that is it all. and when i have no orders she can chat with others, but should not go afk.

contact me in world, if interested.
I do not like alt accounts, but i'll think about using bots. (virtual Avi i mean ) and the group idea is great, Yes! :)

Well, my first thought when I saw the ad was, "Hey, I'd do that. No dress code, event announcements, conversation - just hop on and off the pose. And I've got inventory to sort." But it turned out I was busy in RL and in SL off and on all weekend and decided to let it pass.

You make a good point about the value of the pay in US$. On the flip side, L$100 can buy a lot more in SL than $.50 can in RL. And in SL I have no needs - if I don't have cash I can make what I want or do without.

I may have a funny attitude toward money in SL. I buy L$, so I don't *need* to work in SL, and I'm not looking for a steady SL job. But for me it's sometimes satisfying to earn a little bit, even knowing the pay isn't much in RL terms. I found the idea of pose modeling intriguing and I wouldn't mind doing it once, for the experience. I wouldn't argue with anyone who felt it wasn't worth their time - if it's not, to them, then it's not.

Freelance Pose Models
10-13-2009 16:48
I have finally created a group called "Freelance Pose Models".

Join the group if you are sometimes willing to go pose for a pose maker/animator while they make their adjustments.

Animators, IM the group when you need someone to come pose for you. Let them know if they will be doing adult poses, and if they need anything in particular. Also mention how much you will be paying.

I created the group to help new players (and some oldbies) make a few Lindens and to help us animators find pose models.
