"The Mother in Law From Hell"
"Hell If I know"
"'H' 'E' Double Hockey Sticks"

I leave the rest to you

(replaces "christianity" with "religion";)

"For the love of God!"
"For Christ's Sake!"
"God have Mercy"

Hmm, wait a second, I wonder if I can think of any that don't have a negative connotation attached...

"God Bless You"... And... Um... Um...

"God bless America" (I'd rejoice the day that offensive saying bit the dust)

I stuck a bablefish in my ear and it told me that was "Got with us" in German, but I was most entertained by the image it made in my head, of a small child with cold hands parodying the "Got Milk" ads, reading it out loud as I said, "Got Mittens?"

"God bless America" (I'd rejoice the day that offensive saying bit the dust)

I know I'm just a stupid noob and I have no right to comment on anything in these forums, but here goes anyway. Okay, I am not the least bit religious. I don't like how many people/groups use religion to justify their own misguided agenda. However, I would like to know what exactly is so offensive about the words "god bless america?" Is it really such a repulsive thing to hear, read, or say? I find it interesting that the people who wish for such phrases to "bite the dust" also tend to complain about various government agencies trying to make such language mandatory, or government inquiries into steroids in baseball and other such ridiculous wastes of taxpayers money. It seems it would cost a couple of tax dollars to ban this type of language from its various uses as well. Is it really that big of a deal? Growing up, I've had to say the pledge of allegiance in school, I'm sure I've had to endure awful junior high band versions of "god bless america." But i don't ever recall being forced to participate by a battallion of broken whisky bottle weilding christian bikers, or even thinking of the fact that the word god was in there at all. If you don't want your kids to be exposed to the word "god" than home school them. Otherwise, let them deal with it. I'm sure they will turn out just fine.

That said, I've always been partial to "christ on a pony."

Chip's just cranky because he is demonstrably superior at skinning people than god, but no one ever says Chip's gift instead of god's gift to man.

*chuckles*
Would you be offended if someone said, "Fluffy Magic Bunnies bless America"?
