Maybe since Japanese typically have much smaller chests, their cup sizes are overrated to compensate.

You know, when I was eating dinner at Chairman Mao's tonight, where I did not see myself at 11:21 pm was rationalizing the cup sizing conventions of Japanese preteen pop stars.

Yes. I had to Google it, but, according to 85B Int'l Bra Size Converter, a Japanese F-cup is approximately the same as a Western DD-cup bra.

Why does this suprise anyone? Japanese popular culture is saturated with sexualizing very young girls. I find it a bit amusing that so many Americans are huge fans of anime but find this somehow shocking. :p

It's not surprising. It's sad. More specifically, I understand the appreciation of the human form but when used by commercial and governmental entities to create profit and influence policy, I do not care for it.

I'm not exactly trying to start a flamewar (Hey, I'm responding to Ulrika... my motives probably aren't pure as the driven snow...), but I have to ask...

... and dont get me wrong, I think this is pretty terrible myself, but...

Would the government or corporate sexual exploitation of a young /male/ also make you sad?

Or the non-sexual explotation of a female?

'cuz for myself, I think explotation just sucks, without the need for other qualifiers.

It's pretty unlikely that a preteen boy would be sexualised and exploited in current popular culture like that. If it did it would be bad, sure, but I don't think it's very likely.

Eleven, dammit. Look at the pictures in that article... she looks a little more grown-up than the other girls in the group (excluding her chest) but not much.
