The police looked for her for months, canvasing all the known sexual predator and sex offenders because the experts told them to. Funny thing was, her assailant didn't have a criminal history, either.
Let's worry about those who have a criminal history. After all, a whopping 6% of them ever do the same crime again. Preliminary results indicate that Megan's Laws actually make the recidivism rate worse, since nobody wants to live with that kind of surveillance.
Most people who are arrested for these crimes didn't have a criminal history.
So what's the point of telling you about people who make the news for child molestation and other atrocious sex crimes who didn't have a criminal history?
It's not the known sex offenders you have to worry about. It's the ones you don't know about - who haven't been caught - who have never had so much as a parking ticket - that you have to worry about!
Why?
Because they don't have criminal histories.

Documented or not, the guy has a history of criminal behavior.
There's probably many criminals out there that never get caught... or at least don't get caught during their first however-many crimes. Recidivism among sexual predators is higher than for most other crimes. I don't think anyone is suggesting that because the repeat offender rate is higher that there aren't new and uncaught sexual predators out there. |

Either put all adult males in prison, because you know even if they don't have a criminal history they still want to molest your children. Or, just don't have kids, ever, because there's no way to protect them and the male ones will just grow up to rape someone's children! But, if you do have children, make sure you drill it into their brains that the worst thing that could ever possibly happen to them is to have someone touch their boobies so that if it ever happens they'll be properly traumatized by it. _____________________

It's kind of frightening the lack of compassion shown by some of the people on this forum. I know that to most of you your sarcastic biting remarks are the epitomy droll humor and a way to make you feel better about yourselves but please. What if your kid went to one of those schools? And, for that matter, how many of you "Parents" in this thread have school age children? Do you know thier teacher? You entrust these people with the lives of your most loved offspring. What if they are sick? You know who is going to be coming in that day to substitute? No? Are you just much to busy with your work? Secondlife git ya by the brains? Hmm? To busy posting sarcastic remarks in an online forum would be my guess. Talking shit about "Them" and watching out for them. And making a concerned and informed parent out to be some kind of freak for worrying about thier child. I tell my children. Don't talk to strangers, never get into a strangers car blah blah blah but what should I do about thier teachers? I have always told my children to listen to thier teachers cause they are there to teach them. So. My point being. fuck it. traumatize your kid. I would rather have my children somwhat concerned and aware of the people around them then blindly dropping thier knickers in a broom closet cause the teacher told them to.
