My first car when I was 16 (and driving around without an actual license for awhile...I know I know bad girl) was a huge dark green station wagon my friends called "The Hulktress" that cost a whole 200 bucks. That car lasted 6 months before it died on the side of a freeway somewhere in sunny California. Being 16 and completely broke and not legally a driver anyway, there was no choice but to walk away and hope the poor old girl found someone to love her. She hasn't been seen since.
This is not the actual Hulktress but it is a disturbingly good likeness. _____________________

Ford "Ka" ( sure they tried to call it the "Kack" but got told they couldn't ) Actually there's a tradition at Ford that designs are named using a word contained in the first sentence the CEO utters when shown the prototype. As in 'Holy shit, that thing looks like an anal probe!', which explains another slightly odd name. I mean, what other choice did they have? Ford were forced into Ka because the then current CEO simply croaked 'Ak' and died of apoplexy. Figuring 'Ak' probably wasn't a name they could run with, they bent the rules slightly and rearranged the letters - hence 'Ka' _____________________

Aztec Smart car GM Avalanch Hummer 2 The 1st gen Honda hybrid All are fugly cars ------------ I like the looks of some of the new Mopars. The retro style stang is cool. I also think most of the Scion line is nice looking. The BMW coupes mentioned in the OP are great looking cars imho. |
