Posters who really get up my nose

Those people who say, "If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen!"

This is a way of dismissing people's concerns without the effort of thinking about what they say. It's a bit like advocating suicide for people who have problems in real life.

People who use the terms 'whine' and 'whining'. These words again are used to dismiss other people's concerns without having to expend any intellectual effort on thinking about what they say. It displays a contemptuous attitude to others, and I'm afraid I see anybody who uses these words as suffering from an inflated ego.

People who respond to people's complaints about some aspect of Second Life with a comment like the following: "Listen people, Linden Lab owns Second Life, and they can do what they like. It's their game."

In general this kind of sentence is used to respond to a concern about what is perceived as an unjust decision on the part of Linden Lab. This response deliberately confuses moral issues with legal ones. In general the comment that provoked this response is about what LL *should* do, not about what they *can* do. Carry that viewpoint over into real life, and you would consider jaywalking as serious a thing as murder.

troo dat. it's also interesting to find that most of the ones that dismiss other people as trolls are the worst of the bunch.

I might be a troll, but at least I openly fucking admit it instead of hiding behind some bullshit pretence of making some deep philosophical commentary that little old us wouldnt understand. I'm invariably just guilty of spewing the first thing that pops into my head into a post, generally, whereas other people seem to have to work rather hard at crafting the utter shit they spew

So yeah. Thats what gets up my nose.

Oh. And another thing that gets up my nose. Some of said bullshit spewing assholes cant be put on ignore because they happen to moderate some group forum or other.

I warn you, its long. I put people on ignore for many reasons, including overly large image signatures. Don't see why I should turn off all sigs just for a few people who want to shove half page adverts in my face with every two word post.

zOMG is most likely representative of carelessly pressing the left shift key to capitalize "OMG" and hitting the adjacent "Z" key in the process.
