It is obvious to me that There is better then Second Life. This can be proven in many ways, actually. One point would be that There was never meant to die while Second Life is merely a experiment meant to teach There what works and what doesn't. Another point could be that Second Life allows adult content, which is very bad. If people are allowed to have sex online then they won't have a healthy sex life offline, which is bad. Now since There is PG-13 and doesn't allow adult content then it is better then Second Life in that area. Also, in my humble opinion I believe that There allows more creativity to flourish within itself. Since Therians have to over come obstacles and push limits everyday then they are being innovative and more creative then Second Life members are able to be. In reality, more limitations can actually allow for alot more creativity.
You are most likely asking why I am on the Second Life forums if There is so much better. I have a pretty good answer, actually. It is my duty as a Therian to alert as many Second Life members as I can to the existance of There. Since switching to There from Second Life I have seen the light and I want to share that light with others too. More people need to join in building the Metaverse, which is exactly what There is doing. All Therians are taking part in something very grand and amazing. We're building the Metaverse, we're building the 3D internet. I will try to help make the transition over to There as smooth as possible. If over 200,000 people are going to join There then we need organization and leadership. It is obvious to me that many people will switch to There after this post which is why I have already begun planning for a couple new member services such as tours and starter loans.
I know you all will have many questions and I will try to answer them the best I can. Good luck on your journey unto the Metaverse and I hope I will see you There!

From: Lorelei Patel Hm. What's the referral bonus for bringing fresh blood into There? Currently, there is no referal bonus. I am telling you all about There out of the kindness of my heart. After switching to There from Second Life I think everyone should know about it and I am trying to accomplish that goal here.

I never said I was going. For someone who claims to belong to a secret society of trollers, your skills are woefully lacking.

I see no reason why you wouldn't be going to There. In fact, it shocks me beyond belief that you will not be joining the rest of the Second Life community in moving to There. I find that very sad, but I still wish you luck in your digital life and journey.

From: Alpha Zadeh Another point could be that Second Life allows adult content, which is very bad. *cleans the coffee she spit on her keyboard* Hate to say this, Alpha, but I beta'd There and while I realize it's changed a lot over time, it completely and utterly sucked. Ten times as cartoonish as SL, no resident ownership of content, no resident ownership of land, very limited customization of avatars, an interface even clunkier than SL's (if that's possible) and overall, just not immersive at all. The only thing There got right was adding the ability to turn off push on your avatar a year before SL figured it out. Whoopie.

The only thing There got right was adding the ability to turn off push on your avatar a year before SL figured it out. Whoopie. I can see you a very confused. I also see you are greatly troubled and I will try to do the best I can to help you. First off, I quit Second Life a little bit before April of 2004 and then joined There shortly after. I wasn't in There's beta but I can tell you that There is worth switching to. There has changed completely from when I first joined. It has improved and grown so much in the past months that it blows my mind. I don't see how There sucks and I actually like it's cartoonish look. However, some people may not like There's graphics and I understand that. But that isn't a good enough reason to not make the switch over to There. You obviously are very confused when it comes to There. Members have created over 90% of the content within There. There is way more user driven and created now then it was in the past. Therians can to own land and houses. We can own Pazes which are portable building zones as well as Neighborhoods, which are the next generation in Therian real estate. There may have limited avatar customization at the moment but that still isn't reason to not switch from Second Life to There. I think There has a very nice and easy to use interface, as well as many member add-ons which make your There experience better. And yes, I enjoy There's force field feature too. There has come a long way in the past year. We've grown at an amazing rate and still are growing today. Makena Technologies has improved There so much and done alot for the community. That is another thing, the community behind There. Without the passion and devotion of There's community then There wouldn't exist today, which would be a very sad thing. I am going to give you a few links in order to show you some of the improvment There has gone though. http://info.there.com/idx/0/529/article/There_Neighborhood_FAQ.htmlhttp://info.there.com/idx/0/1050/article/227b_Release_Notes_for_72706_Server_and_Client_Update.htmlhttp://info.there.com/idx/0/936/article/Introducing_the_first_There_Fashion_Challenge.htmlhttp://www.therefashionchallenge.com/

Took a peep at the video. I must say that even the avatars here that I consider over-painted look better.
