You're absolutely right. All humor, as it reflects aspects of real life which could therefore be derisive and divisive, is now no excuse. I would like to personally apologize to all of you who were in fact having strokes while typing in the off-topic forums today.

I'll now switch to hex, and I'd like to point out that this in NO way means to disinfranchise any of you who for reasons unbeknownst to me actually do or will be speaking hex due to physical or mental conditions.

Ok, Taco and others. I asked for opinions in another thread on whether I had over-reacted to your humor. Due perhaps to my involvement with strokes, and dying from them alone out of reach of help.

Naturally rather to my surprise, not one person thought my reaction reasonable, and so I wholly accept that my critical posting was out of line. I apologise to all concerned.

Perhaps I'll try reading it again and see if I can enjoy it. Progressive loss of parts of the keyboard, progressively manifesting in attempts to communicate, is quite a funny idea, I have to confess.

Ellie, as I cross posted - I really appreciate what a caring person you've come across as via your concern over this. I believed it to be totally obvious that i was joking but I accept completely that it could have been misinterpreted. It was not intended to cause alarm, belittle anyone, nor to cause undue grief.

I started typing and my fingers were on the wrong keys, one row too high. I was amused as the resultes which looked just o8i3ty8wy. now that's totally unreadable so i tried to type with o otto row and that made me laugh too. So I posted. If i had it to do again i would not have used a reference to a stroke, but please believe me when I tell you it honestly never occured to me that anyone would think for a second I was in the midst of a calamity.

I sincerely hope that if you DO have a god-forbid stroke, this thread has taught you to call 911 instead of posting for help on an internet message board.

My plan in the event of that unfortunate occurance is to simply type that the bottom row of keys isn't working, and hope it gets misinterpreted.
