The first picture is my assassin in an mmorpg called Ragnarok Online. It was the first mulitplayer for me - she was probably level 20 there, she's Level 83 now... (be sure to view it full screen all those monsters ate my lunch at one time it was a massacre of extra ordinary magnitude)

The second picture is a group shot of the guild. That's me in the front with my lvl 99 crusader.

an oldie, but a goodie

once upon a time a started an alt character for City of Heroes. He was made for a specific supergroup. this group was called.. The Terata.

there were a specific set of criteria to join this group which required the creation of a custom-developed character. the criteria were as follows:
1) character must be based on a horror movie/story(/legend); however, must not be an actual character from source, but an original based on such. "fan fiction" if you will..

2) must write (short) origin story for character, as well as origin of events that lead up to and include the "inductioon" into the supergroup.

this made for the most interesting group/guild/whatever i've ever been part of. all these stories knitted together of horrific heroes.. it was just really cool.

**WARNING: Long origin follows this message!!**

(this was my character)

Character Name: Jaeger Leeds

Archetype/Power Sets: Mutant Scrapper | Dark/Regen

Inspiration: Jersey Devil (various movies & legends)

Tale (origin):

There once was born a child of demonic heritage. His mother was Mrs. Leeds and due to her unscroupulous avail, she unwittingly cursed him to a life of degradation.. and cursed herself to a horrific death at the new-born hands of her demonic son. Years later, he came to be known as The Jersey Devil.

Hiding amongst the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey, he would live his accursed life in seclusion. Throughout time he has been glimpsed by 'normal people'. For those unlucky enough to come face to face with him, the result has ranged from terror to suffering an unearthly death.
Many tales have been told, and many tales have never been heard. One such widely unknown event was an occurence years ago, from within the forgotten heart of the Pine Barrens:

The Jersey Devil was skulking around his domain, hunting.. but now he was experiencing something he was unfamiliar with: the urge to mate. He so happened upon a small shack,
a rotting thing that had the stench of evil about it. This warmed the senses of the Jersey Devil, curiosity prodding him to take the ramshackle abode into closer inspection.
His beady eyes spied a human inside, an older female. She was chanting words that he had never heard uttered from human lips before.. words he understood, old words.
As he stood watching, she became aware of his presence.. she looked up to see him through her crooked window. Her one 'good' eye staring at him, unwavering.
Her face contorted into an evil half-smile.. she knew this creature.
She hobbled outside, her uncanny knowledge keeping her calm and respectful of this
legendary abomination. She was a witch, old and learned, and knew this was more than a
chance meeting.. this was fate weilding it's darker hand. She knew her place and so lead the creature into the woods.. and succumbed to his animal instincts.

Thirteen months later, alone and through great difficulty, she birthed a boy whom she
named Jaeger Leeds. His first name heralding back to her ancient Germanic past, his last
in honor of his grand-mother. He did not share the extreme disfigurement of his father;
however, he was of decidedly inhuman nature. He was also imbued with great, ther-worldly powers that would manifest themselves throughout his life in various incarnations.
Knowing that he would never know acceptance locally, but would rather suffer hunts by the local 'normal' people who lived in fear of such demonic existances, she raised him in the ways of the dark arts.. secreted away from civilization. Once he had learned all he needed, both scholastically and magickly, she sent him out on his own.. to find a place to call home.

Jaeger grew from a child to a man while he travelled the world, all the while hiding his dark origins and talents (and his murderous tedencies) from the general populace, until he came upon a city like none other he had seen. This city, this Paragon City, was populated not only by 'normal' people, but also by others with strange and unnatural powers.
He quickly realized what lay before him.. a place where he would not only be accepted, but exalted for doing that which came natural to him. He could practice his dark arts and satisfy his need to hunt, to kill.. he could be himself.

Jaeger stretched out at the base of a large statue, smiling..
he found his new killing grounds.
He found home.

**ATTENTION: Long origin has ended, you may wake up now!!**

and here are some pics to go with the story..

1st) (from L to R) Jaeger Leeds, The Tall Man, Lamentation
... The Tall Man was the younger succesor to the original.
... Lamentation was a cenobite. (an original)

2nd) what was supposed to become www.theterata.com/index.html
... made in photoshop by yours truly

(man, i miss this group.. would've been perfect for switching over to CoV too! argh.)

Used to be in different 3D worlds, unfortunately I cant remember where I left all my backup CD that contains the images ... how annoying when bits and pieces are all over the place

I've been to Activeworlds back when it was free and pretty much enjoyed it. I loved exploring the beautifully made worlds made by other people and there was a castle with a forest that I particularly enjoyed where you could stumble and find different places like huts and churches and other hidden things. Ahhh where's that cd??

Then I tried moove for a little bit. Didnt liked it. I was the only one there. And there's no one to interact.

And then I tried worlds and pretty much enjoyed it, quite a trippy place, a retro 3d world (if there were ever such a thing) there were many people to help you about and show you around and I liked it. I was ready to purchase a membership even till they wouldnt reply an email query for over a week! (Actually I'm still waiting from 2001) I thought that it wasnt professional of them and decided not to go ahead with the membership.

And then under a recommendation of a friend from Neopets (yes I used to play neopets :p I joined cybertown Liked it there, made many friends and did quite alot of things. I climbed up the ladder to become a Neighbourhood Deputy, Learnt how to do VRML items, sold stuff in the mall and made events. I enjoyed it ... Dont have time to do that anymore though.

And then cybertown became a subscription site. And friends dwindled down. It wasnt as thriving as it used to be. So after much thought, I quit cybertown and went back to my exploring.

After similar type of vrml worlds like icity and oddessey (They deleted my house dawggone it! After all the arranging and stuff ..Grrr!)

I explored Toontown very cute! I liked exploring the different places and fighting the weird creatures in there ... I couldnt chat openly but there are a predefined words I could use to communicate. But after a while, it couldnt hold my attention span because after all it was meant for kids and got repetitive. I cant remember where I left my kittie avatar from toontown ..waahh!!

And then I went to there and quite liked it. I've never seen anything like it. I took quite a few snapshots too, wished I knew where my cd was

I dont know how I chose SL over There ... but here I am :)

Other places I went to :

Me as a Mage, arent I cute? :p

Ragnarok Online

I dont quite remember what this world is, but thats a friend there

I've been to habbo hotel, but didnt liked it enough to even stay 10 minutes. And a couple of other virtual worlds which I cant even remember :p Ahh ...furggeddabouddit

Catskills was better!!! :p

Nuh uh! ;)

I actually had a character over on Catskills.

I had had enough for a while of PKers on Great Lakes, so I went and made my own PKer on Catskills. LOL. Was the only time i have ever played a PKer in my online history. Even the most virtuous RPers want to see what it's like on the other side!

His name was "Old Man Tucker", and he was a bad mofo! :D

Wish I could find a pic, I know I have some somewhere...
