Did you have any formal training before becoming an officer, and now Fidel Castro like character with power over so many armies?

I believe him. Having dealt with several officers in the past, particularly lieutenants, I find his level of sophistication and apparent intelligence to be perfectly in line with typical "officer material." ;)

No offense, but in all that training, was there ever a course on what capital letters and punctuation are for?

I realize English is not everyone's first language, and that's fine, but in every language that uses the Latin alphabet, sentences begin with capital letters and end with periods. To lead an army, one must be an effective communicator. You might want to consider that.

Churchill, Eisenhower, Napoleon, Alexander, Wallace, Washington, Atilla, Genghis Kahn, Caesar, and just about all the other great generals of history were very well educated, supremely gifted communicators. I doubt any of them would have tried to recruit in a way that might have caused their prospective soldiers to question their abilities.

This has to be one of the funniest threads in a long time! Congrats to the army officer for making me snort Pepsi out of my nose!

Momma told him to clean up the basement. He'd left his 1001 piece green-plastic army set scattered about when he and his elementary school buddies slept over last weekend during a play date. :)

You're right. I guess I could have toned that a little more gently.

I feel kind of bad at the way I, and a few others, treated good old conor and am wondering how his many armies are doing. I would appreciate an update, conor.
